Abbey (Kensie 09-267)

Profile

Kensie is a 5 year old female Golden Retriever who loves affection....and treats.  She sits well for them and even shakes your hand! She has interacted well with kids and other dogs and would be a great part of any family.

Kensie is house trained, paces when she is ready to go out, and is very well behaved. Kensie loves going for long walks around Como Lake in Saint Paul, Minnesota. On her first walk around the lake we found that she wasn't interested in the squirrels or rabbits, it was the park benches. She wanted to sit on every one of them! She also loves cars and always thinks she’s going for a ride. She shows no signs of aggression or resource guarding.

Kensie was found as a stray in Moorhead, MN and was covered in ticks. She was treated with front line and is on antibiotics (14 more days) to help her get over her Anaplasmosis, a disease from ticks. She needs to go back in three weeks to have her white blood cell count checked, but should be well on her way to recovery!

She is spayed and is up to date with her shots. Kensie is truly a sweet girl and will make you smile.

Kensie has briefly come back to RAGOM. Her adopted family had a cat that just wasn't sure about having Kensie in his home. This loving family reluctantly returned Kensie back to RAGOM and we picked her up to foster her again. Kensie quickly got back into our routine and we all decided she was the perfect fit for our family. We have adopted Kensie, who now prefers to be called Abbey, and we all look forward to fostering more Goldens in the future.
