A little late on notifying RAGOM, but I have to report that we led our dear little Abby to the Rainbow Bridge on Saturday, August 17, 2013, after a wonderful 7 years with her. She was suffering from kidney failure that was diagnosed this past summer, but she stayed a "courageous, loving, trooper" until the end. Abby got to make the move of our household from Saint Michael to Ely, Minnesota, in April 2013. She enjoyed her new home in the North Woods at the End of the Road, taking us on many walks down the gravel roads, and to Garden Lake, close to home. We have to thank the staff at Ely Vet Clinic for the sympathetic care they provided for Abby, especially during her last few weeks, and on her last day.
We'll have to send a little more info to you in the near future, including photos. We feel that adopting a 7 or 8 year old dog gave us a distinctively special experience that we would not hesitate doing again. We would like others to realize how great adopting an older dog can be. Thanks, RAGOM. We cannot thank you enough for all your wonderful work. |
