9/17/05: Abigail and family were transported to their new foster home in the Cities today. The pups are getting big. They are light blonde to medium blonde in color and are very sweet puppies. They have had a vet check and have good hearts and appear very healthy at 3 1/2 weeks. Abigail weighed in at 2 lbs. 12 oz. today.

Abby continues to do well. She is smaller than the boys. She weighed 19 pounds at 13 weeks. Our vet is estimating (guesstimating?) she'll be around 55 pounds full grown. Abby does well with her basic commands--sit, stay, lay down and come. She does not do well, unfortunately, with staying "off" and "no biting." My hands look like they've been down a garbage disposal. Hopefully with time that will end. Abby and the cat continue to duke it out. Kitty has established herself as the alpha pet and eggs Abby on so we're not sure who to yell at.

We are enjoying Abby very much and glad she has become a part of our family. I enjoyed seeing the photos of the boys and look forward to seeing photos of the rest.

The pups are now 6.5 weeks old and doing great. They have had no accidents in their crates and sleep all night from 10 pm to 5 am. They are the sweetest dogs and so easy going. The new owners are all getting gems.

All the pups were micro chipped, dewormed and had their first set of shots today. Abigail with her big eyes is a real looker. She is a calm but playful girl and weighs in at 5.25#.

The pups are growing and now eating mush 3 times a day along with some supplement from mom. They are all very sweet puppies. They are 4 weeks old today. They seem to change right before your eyes. They are starting to play with each other more and are way cute. More to come in a week.

Betsy and her nine babies have arrived from the shelter, where she delivered her pups - not a very good place to whelp puppies. They were born on August 23rd, and only time will tell if they are full Goldens or Golden/Lab mixes.
