Ailie 06-383

Profile

9/3/06: This is Ailie (pronounced I-Lee). She is a beautiful, dark red, purebred Golden. She is in great shape and loves to play! We brought her home last evening and she has no problems so far. She is a very sweet girl!

She did great riding in the car. She just laid in the back seat and would get up to check out the window every once in awhile. When we got her home she immediately got along great with our female 2 year old Golden. They had a great time running around in our fenced in back yard. She also loves to play fetch with tennis balls.

Ailie slept through the night on a doggie bed in our room. She is not a crate dog and seems to do just fine with free roam.

Ailie was awesome on our walk this morning. It might have been her first time on a lead, but she did great. It just took a little time to get used to. She really did not pay attention to other dogs or people, but has an eye for squirrels!! We will keep up the work with the lead and the squirrels.

Ailie seems to like to be by people and stays right by your side. She loves being petted and will show her thanks with a bunch of kisses. She does know quite a few commands, but is showing some selective hearing. We will wait and see if that gets better as she gets used to this new environment. Overall she is a wonderful dog!

Ailie is still doing great! She has had no problems with getting into things, sleeping at night on a doggie bed, and with free roam of the house while we are gone. She is very lovable and is listening better and better. Ailie is a great walker.

She is very head strong. If she gets really excited she may jump on you and "play bite". But she knows her commands and will stop as soon as you tell her to. Ailie would do best in a home that would give her lots of exercise with other younger dogs, or with children. She is always up for playing, but is also very good at just chilling out and sitting quietly.
