Hi Bonnie and other puppy parents,

Kirby (aka Alex) is doing wonderful and growing like a weed! He weighs about 27 lbs maybe even more, that was at his last check up about 2 1/2 weeks ago.

He is tons of fun and has a great personality. I forgot what it was like to have a shadow, he follows me everywhere!

He really enjoys being outside and romping in the snow even when I am begging him to come back in because I am cold! His favorite thing to do is join me on my daily walks, I think he would walk forever! He does great at heeling and sit,(and most of the time)-come, we are working on the sit stay and lay down. We had a horrible experience at a puppy kindergarten so we withdrew from that and we are going someplace else for beginner obedience after the first of the year. I have been working with him on basic commands and he is a fast learner, and hopefully we will learn lots from the beginner obedeince class.

He doesn't really have too many bad habits, which is very nice. Apple bitter spray works great on the nipping at hands! He does try to steal things out of my daughters' rooms every once in awhile, like stuffed animals, but they are getting pretty good about always keeping their doors shut!

It was great to see all the pics of the other puppies, they are all so very cute and from the sounds of it, very smart! I think we all lucked out with this batch of puppies!
