Profile

Goldie was rescued as a stray in China, and when an owner couldn’t be located, he came to RAGOM through our international outreach. Children in Goldie’s forever home should be aged 10+ due to his high energy level. He can live with other dogs, but he has not yet been tested with cats. Because Goldie has a high prey drive and his recall is questionable, he will need a physical fence to keep him safe. This handsome, active boy needs a family committed to exercise and continued training.

Goldie has been adopted to his "fur"ever home. He was happy to see Heather and was laying on her feet within minutes. He is going to have a happy Golden life.

Here is an update for Goldie with a couple of new pictures. He is doing so well!

Goldie has adjusted to our routine and loves his ball. He is a sweet, energetic boy but he calms down quickly to chew on a bone or watch out the window for squirrels.

He loves his walks and is learning quickly with the help of his Gentle Leader to remain calm around other dogs. He also enjoys car rides and snuggles with belly rubs.

Goldie will make a wonderful companion with his silly, sweet, and playful personality.

Goldie is a very handsome, goofy boy who does all things with great intensity. He plays with purpose, eats voraciously, and will seek and receive affection with great intention.

He is learning what it’s like to be part of a family, has become very playful, and is very sweet. He is an energetic boy but learns very quickly and knows basic commands like “wait, sit, down and roll over.”

He is learning manners but still needs some work, as he doesn’t completely know what is allowed and what’s not. He seems to love Minnesota life, a long way from his Shanghai, China lifestyle where he was rescued as a stray.

Goldie does well eating near people, but he needs to eat separately from other dogs. He eats fast in his crate while guarding and protecting his food/bones. He does great getting treats with other dogs and listens and obeys commands such as sit, stay, and shake.

Goldie loves to go for walks and is learning very quickly to heal and walk nicely. However, when other dogs walk by, he gets overly excited and barks and lunges at the other dogs. So we are practicing in the back yard when people and dogs walk by to teach Goldie to remain calm.

He is quickly learning the ways of being a family dog and is taking to it very well! If you are looking for an energetic, cuddly pup who will make you laugh every day, Goldie is your boy!
