Hello, my friends and followers. I hate to break it to you, but I am no longer available! I have met and gone home with my fur-ever family!

Foster Dad had been talking to them for a couple of weeks now and they drove up to meet me. Foster Dad was quite happy to see that I liked taking treats from both and that I was willing to get some pets, too. I am not nearly as scared of these humans as I was of Foster Dad at first.

I appreciate Foster Dad and my brother Heath showing me that humans are not all bad, and I am incredibly happy this family is adding me to continue to help me become the super dog we all know I can be.

I know I am going to have a great life now, though I do have to work on Tristen to let me get away with anything like Heath did! Thank you to the entire RAGOM organization for all your help in finding my family!

Hi, I thought I would give you a quick update! Foster Dad, Heath, and I went for a nice long walk this morning; we seem to go on longer walks on the weekends. I like the walks when Foster Dad lets me hunt and sniff around—at least to the end of my leash.

He does say that one of these days we are going to have to start working on loose-leash walking. While that sounds great, I suspect it doesn’t mean what I hope. When we got home, we went into the back yard to play fetch for a while. I really enjoy that and I’m getting better at it all the time. Foster Dad says I am really fast.

A bit later I should’ve suspected that something was up: Foster Dad laid on the floor with me for a while and kept saying something about a bath. Well he finally took me upstairs, put me in the tub that he always goes into and gave me a shower. When he said bath, I envisioned a nice bubble bath, candles, maybe a dogtini.

Foster Dad was surprised that while some hair came off of me, there was not very much dirt. What can I say? I’m a clean girl. He gave me a nice towel off and then took me outside to play some more fetch. He laughed at me when we got outside because I jumped and bounced. He said I looked like a horse with a burr under my saddle.

I am getting a bit more comfortable with the big guy as time progresses and will even occasionally ask him for some scritches. But if he moves too fast, I get a bit skittish again.

Foster Dad says I am highly food motivated and gets a bit upset with me when I try to take the treats he’s offering to Heath, besides my own. He says he worries that my new brother or sister may not be as patient with me as Heath is but come on, I’m freaking adorable. Who can resist me?!

Well, until next time keep your paws away from your face and be well!

Hi! Foster Dad wanted me to tell you a bit about me, so here we go!

I am a Lab/Goldendoodle mix, although everyone says I look like a Black Lab. Foster Dad says I am even prettier! I am a bit shy and get nervous when Foster Dad comes towards me, but I am starting to get used to him.

He says he is very proud of me because I will now take treats from his hand and I’m getting a bit less fussy when it comes to treats. What can I say? When I first got here, I was holding out for the good stuff.

We love to go for long walks, but Foster Dad says he is a bit jealous because I get excited to see everyone except him. He says my inner puppy is coming out during our walks; I get a bit excited and bouncy when I see a cousin—or a critter!

I do like to be near Foster Dad, just maybe not too close. When he goes in the garage without me, I don’t like it and will call for him to come back. He says I am costing him heat since when we come in from outside, I don’t like him to be near the door. So, he leaves it open for me and walks away so I can come in; we’re working on the whole trust thing.

So, what am I looking for? I need a home that will be very patient with me as I am slow to trust. I need a companion dog who can show me the ropes (literally and figuratively). I have a strong prey drive so Foster Dad thinks I should probably have a fenced yard; even though I do stay close he is afraid I could get distracted and find myself lost.

Speaking of that prey drive Foster Dad is not sure how I would do with a cat as a brother or sister. While I am excited to see kids go by us on walks, I would like them to be a little older (age 10+), old enough to understand my personal boundaries.

Foster Dad says I am getting spoiled having him around all the time. I am stuck with him for a while, so I will write again and let you know how we are progressing. Maybe one of these days I will let Foster Dad take a picture of me when I’m smiling.
