Annie (Brandy 13-143)

Profile

I would like to introduce Brandy! She was born on March 10, 2013. She is a very happy, playful puppy. Brandy was surrendered from a puppy mill at one day old. A Good Samaritan hand-raised her and a few of her littermates. She was surrendered from the puppy mill because she suffered from frostbite. Her nose and three of her toes were damaged. This does not seem to affect her. She is a very normal little girl. She makes a little crackle noise when she breathes. The vet does not think she will need anything done to her nose right now. They would like to let her grow up a bit to see how she does. She will be ready for adoption after she is spayed. She may need a little nose job when she is full grown.

Brandy is playful. She loves to play with her foster sister, Joy 12-418. They get along very nicely. She also likes to chew on toys and bones. She wants to play with my resident dog Baylee. Baylee is not so sure about that.

We are working on crate training her. She is doing well with that. She will bark for a minute and will settle right down. We are also working on going potty outside. She is starting to get that as well. She has had a few accidents in the house, but that is to be expected since she is still very young. She has learned how to sit for a treat and has also learned lay down for a treat. She is very smart and wants to please. She gives great puppy kisses!

Brandy is up to date on her shots and is ready to meet her forever family! If you would like to meet Brandy, please contact your placement advisor.

Annie was the perfect dog if there ever was one. Sweet and gentle and loved by all the neighbors and kids.

Unfortunately she contracted pneumonia at age 7 years in June 2020 and the doctors were unable to get her respiratory distress under control unless she was on oxygen and IV  fluids. She crossed the Rainbow bridge to be met by her RAGOM brother Fred. She is missed by so many people.

Foster Mom said I could do my very own update! I have been very busy playing with my foster sisters. We have a lot of fun. Joy 12-418 and I run and chase each other around. She really likes to play with me. Baylee does not play with me very much but she lets me bite her feet and pull on her hair. When she gets tired of me, she puts her paw on my back and makes me lay down. I don’t care, I just like to be by her.

Last night Foster Mom took me to have a sleepover with my friend, Jewel 12-415. She liked to play with me. She told me not to worry that my nose is not picture perfect. She said she really understands and someone is going to love me even more because of it! I think she is right. Foster Mom tells me she loves me and my forever family is out there waiting for me.

When we got up this morning, we played some more and a nice lady, Amy, picked me up and I had to go see a vet. Foster Mom told me I had to get spayed today. I don’t know what that is, but the next thing I remember is waking up and it was dark out and my tummy hurt a little bit. Foster Mom said I will feel better when I wake up tomorrow. She said when we wake up, we get to go to the lake for a week. I don’t know how long a week is, but Foster Mom is very happy, so I think it is a long time. She said we will take some more pictures of me and I can do another update when we get back. Have a great week, I know I will! I love the lake!!!
