3/5/06: Ari is a skinny young purebred Golden Retriever boy who was born on September 15, 2005. He doesn?t seem to respond to the name Ari but that is what we were told his name is. He is not really socialized or trained in any way but seems to be very sweet and gentle. He was surrendered with another Golden Retriever pup of the same age who has since been transferred to another foster home. Ari is the smaller, meeker and darker colored of the two. He has taken everything in stride, it seems to help that there is a resident dog here of the same age. He is suspicious of my cat but is getting plenty of exposure to her and is following the lead of Pepper. He has been bathed and had his nails clipped and has been given a clean bill of health from the veterinarian. There is much left for Ari to learn but he is a good boy with a bright future.

Dakota is doing great! He has not had any accidents (knock on wood) since he has been here. His favorite thing to do is go to the big softball field across the street and play ball. We are beginning dog classes on April 19th. He is scheduled to see the vet for neutering and boosters this Tuesday. He will need to spend the night so we will pick him up after school on Wednesday. Probably the biggest thing that we are working with is the "jumping". Tanna is beginning to warm up to him and Haley hardly leaves his side. I have included a couple of pictures.
