Profile

Aspen was lovingly surrendered by a couple who could not keep up with his very high energy level and his frequent accidents. He is a puppy in the body of a large dog and will require continued training. Aspen needs another dog to play with as well as for guidance. A physical fence would be great so that he can run freely to burn off his energy. Aspen has not been tested with children or cats.

Aspen has found his forever family! His new home provides him with a great deal of outlet for his energy, including multiple long walks each day and a fenced yard where he and his new brother can play chase and wrestle, and frequently their human join in as well.

Aspen is a constant shadow with his Dad. Whereas his brother would just as soon be outside as much as possible, Aspen prefers to be near his human, including making multiple appearances on video meetings. Aspen also has made brother very happy to have a buddy once again, and they play very well together.

Hello, friends! My name is Aspen 20-177. I was an urban dog living the high-rise life, and now I am a suburban dog with a fenced yard that I share with my mentor, Heath.

The new human servant, I guess I am supposed to call him Foster Dad, is tolerable. He is not pretty, but he gives lots of pets and scratches, so…

We also get to spend a lot more time outside walking than I did previously; I really like our walks. Foster Dad says I need to work on my walk manners, but everything is new and exciting for me, so he is cutting me some slack for now! He also gives treats on our walks.

Today, the human did not have to work, so we went on an even longer walk, and we had a picnic where he stopped and gave us water and a Milk Bone before we continued on our way home. I have been watching my mentor and now know how others have been marking so high up the poles. I tried it today, and it worked great.

We also get to play ball every day. Foster Dad says I have lots of energy and am really fast. Today, he was going to show the neighbors how smart I am with the "line up," "sit," "stay," and "come" commands, but I knew he didn’t have any treats on him, so phhht on him. Besides, I was busy sniffing their puppy on the other side of the fence.

Foster Dad says he has my wellness exam lined up, and after that, he says they need to fix me… I didn’t know I was broken! So, it will be several weeks before I am available for my official dating profile.

Well, I’m bored with the paw pad and need to get back outside and play some more! Bark at you later!
