Audrey (Goldie 06-466)

Profile

10/15/06: Goldie arrived this afternoon. She is a beautiful, already spayed, seven-year-old blonde. I'd estimate her weight around 75 pounds or so. She has a lot of fur so it's hard to tell for sure. She met my guys as if she had known them all her life. I'm sort of hoping she'll tell my youngster to chill as so far nobody has and as far as I can tell, he deserves it. She's been incredibly patient with his bounciness and attempts to get her to play, at least so far. He'll settle down, and once he figures out she's not into playing, he'll leave her alone, but he is the eternal optimist when a new dog arrives. She is currently exploring the house. So far she has not gotten on any furniture, and when I brought in the groceries, she did not attempt to countersurf. She came with a big bag of stuff which I have slowly been going through. She needs to see the vet to be brought up to date on some shots, but other than that, I think she'll go fast. I'll write more later after I know her better.

We lost Audrey (formerly known as Goldie) this morning to a vascular tumor she had been struggling with since the springtime. She was 10 now and in the 3 years we had her, we tried to give her the golden life she deserved. She was warm and healthy and loved by all.

Thank you to RAGOM and the wonderful work you all do to re-home these amazing dogs.

She was the most well-behaved, easy and loving dog we've ever had and we'll never forget her.
