Hi, Bailey here with a final update. Foster Dad was planning on failing with me, but decided he had to give the world another chance on me. And lucky for me he did, as a fantastic family made me a part of theirs!
I admit it will take me some time to settle into the new place, but they got me a nice new bed to sleep on—until I take over their bed! They have a really nice yard for me to run and play in.
I really think I'm going to like the 3:1 ratio of humans to me rather than the 1:3 we had at Foster Dads place. Thank you all for your thoughts and considerations of me. I now have a wonderful new home.

Hello again, my adoring fans! I am back with RAGOM; I was not able to control myself and was just too much dog for my adoptive family, particularly when we went for walks in the woods with all those critters.
Foster Dad took me back in and continues to work with me on my walking, but he says I am very stubborn and like to pull way too much even when using the Gentle Leader.
I really do like our walks and get excited when I see Foster Dad getting ready to take us out! Foster Dad says I have a pretty good “tell” when I’m getting ready to charge at something, as I tend to prance around.
I will only do #2 in the backyard and not on our walks. And I don’t like to be watched when I am going potty, one reason Foster Dad thinks I need a fenced yard.
When we are at home I do like to snuggle and I know Foster Dad really likes it when I do, but sometimes he will wheeze a bit when I lay on top of him (I’m currently 93 pounds).
I get along great with my brothers. Foster Dad says I watch for cues from them and will react to what makes them excited, too, so Foster Dad says if you have a reactive dog, I will not be a good fit. When my brothers and I get to rough-housing Foster Dad is afraid we are going to knock stuff off the wall, but we do have fun!
I will need to be allowed on your furniture and to sleep with you. I do occasionally whimper in my sleep and Foster Dad is not sure if I’m having a bad dream or dreaming of chasing squirrels, but he knows to gently say my name to wake me up and not touch me until I am awake. Then he holds me and we both go back to sleep peacefully.
We were recently in for a vet visit and the doctor says I look good (of course). When Foster Dad put me on the scale it at first showed 76 pounds. I was really holding my breath but he knew that wasn’t right, so we tried again and found out I was 93 pounds, which is normal for me.
Remember, I am half Great Pyrenees. I was really hoping he would buy the 76 pounds and feed me to get me "up" to the 90's. Oh well… So, if you’re looking for “large love,” I may be your boy—let the fine folks at RAGOM know!

Foster Dad says I need to update my web page. I’m quite content here: we take a nice long walk (about 3 miles) a couple of times a day. Foster Dad says I’m getting better with the pulling but still have a ways to go.
I have my brothers to play with when the human isn’t around. Heath and I share our bed with the human, although I tend to snuggle more than my brother. I get to play fetch regularly, and best of all I do not have the stress of the small humans to deal with!
Foster Dad tells me there are some people out there who need me even more than he does, so here are some of my requirements:
- No kids, or at least older kids (let’s say dog-savvy kids10 years old or better). I haven’t had any incidents since coming here but I don’t want to be exposed to that kind of stress again.
- Lots of walks, or lots and lots of playtime. I do pull especially if rabbits or squirrels are around, so strength and balance will be important.
- Foster Dad says because of my potty habits I should probably have a fence. I don’t like to be watched and won’t go #2 on walks. He thought watching my brothers may change my mind, but no, not at this point.
- I must be close to you 90% of the time, although if you have a cool basement floor I may hang there.
- If you let me I will want to share your (or should I say MY) bed.
- I like to give sloppy wet kisses, lots and lots of kisses.
- Foster Dad says I should let you know I like to bark at strange noises or critters. He did say I was pretty good with the fireworks and only reacted on the really loud bangs.

Hello, my name is Bailey. I am a Golden Retriever and Great Pyrenees mix, so I combine the handsomeness of both and take it to a whole new level! Foster Dad says I’m a BIG teddy bear. I weighed in at 100 pounds today; however, the doctor said I need to get down to about 95 pounds. I have been with my foster dad for just over a week.
At first, he only gave me free roam at night when he was home. This past weekend he let me roam with the brothers (his resident dogs) when he made a couple of quick trips. Monday he let me free roam all day. It was supposed to be just the morning, but work interfered so I got the whole day. Foster Dad was very proud of me.
Today he is only working a half day. We had a vet visit this morning and Foster Dad says I will get free roam again today. I don’t mind the crate and will go in if asked, but if I don’t need to be in there. I am quite happy to hang out with my brothers. Foster Dad says I am very laid back unless another dog is reactive or gets stressed out.
I do really look forward to my walks and get quite excited when it’s time to go. We walk a lot, although Foster Dad says I pull too much and he is working on that with me.
I love playing with my brothers; we wrestle and have a good time. This morning I participated in the wrestling match and I think Foster Dad got a bit nervous when I got the zoomies and started barreling around the upstairs. He feels it is very important that I get regular and vigorous exercise. I do love to chase the ball and can do that for hours on end!
I like adult humans; however, in my previous life I had bad experiences with small humans and are a bit afraid of them. I also very much like to chase small critters, so Foster Dad doesn't think I would do well in a house with cats.
So my ideal family would have no young children and would love to walk or run and play fetch. A fenced yard is necessary to keep me contained when I see those little critters. And of course I love to get lots and lots of kisses!
