Bailey (Red 05-391)

Profile

12/4/05: Red arrived last night. She is very calm & mellow. LOVES the toy box! No problems with the resident dog & cat. She will need some time to adjust to losing her long time owner & friend, as she does seem sad & cries sometimes. This week it will be off to the vet & a grooming...oh yeah, she's not crazy about the diet idea either! Tonight bison burger is on the menu, with a little less Purina. No pictures yet, but we'll send them soon. She will be smiling cause she's got a great life here at the foster home. Can't wait to tell you more about her after we spend some time together.

Bailey (Red) is simply wonderful. My one cat just loves her and talks to her all the time. The other three cats walk by her, may hiss at her from time to time, but overall don't seem to mind having her around. Found a long high table at IKEA for the cats to eat on and it works out great. It is like having a kitty food bar. She is still my shadow, follows me every where. Loves car rides, walks and TENNIS BALLS. She met the neighbors yesterday and she was so good. Just sat there and let them pet her. I plan on taking her to a nursing home. I think she will be a good therapy dog. Plan on taking her to a few obendience classes just for the socialization and to get to know one another even better. She loves going over to my Mom's house and seeing everyone. My Mom who is not a dog person really enjoys her. Attached are two pictures that aren't the best but shows her smiling. Thank you to you and RAGOM for finding her for me. A perfect match.

Red is an incredible dog! If someone is looking for a calm, house trained, low maintenance companion...she is it! She rides great in the car, very easy to walk on leash, knows sit & comes when called. No issues, can you believe that? Forgive me if I have typos here, as she likes to sit at the computer with me & nudge my arm...loves attention! She loves to be brushed. She has a slight ear infection & couldn't care less about you messing with her ears. She has destroyed almost every toy in the toy box with a squeaker...so she seems to be a true G.R. Red also loves the snow, you should see her! She's not really into playing with the 2 year old resident dog, cause she's kind of out of that stage of her life, but they do get along & she only starts barking if he is! The cat has accepted her in a very short time, which is surprising. Maybe because she's so cool, no threat. Red will be available shortly for her forever home. We are waiting for vet records so that she is up to date. What a great Christmas present she would make, unless we decide to keep her!
