This is Bella, a sweet and active young Golden Retriever pup! She's 9 months old and just came to us after being vetted (and spayed!) in Jewell, IA. So far she's met a few dogs and gets along with them all, especially our resident Golden (who is also 9 months old!) She loves all toys... even the old and inexpensive ones are like treasures to her. She spent most of her early days tied up outside to a tree... even overnight, so just being inside and around people makes her happy! She slept last night in her crate like an angel, after only a minute or two of very soft whimpering! She's on the short, petite side at only about 42lbs. I'm not sure if she has any growing left to do, but she still has a puffy, fluffy head like a puppy... and the excitement of learning about the world. She is house trained, and has only barked once while being transported after seeing a semi with its lights on drive by. Every now and again she doesn't like to give up her toys to other dogs but she's not aggressive about it, so we're working on correcting her when she doesn't want to share. However, she has no problem sharing toys with humans, even the most exciting and delicious toys! She's quickly learning the command "give" and we think she'd really be good at, and enjoy training. She would make both a great running partner, and a great snuggle buddy :)

From Bella's forever family...
Bella will soon have her 3rd birthday. She continues to be the love of our life. She loves her daily car ride and romping in her large yard, chasing balls or running thru the water hose and greeting the dogs next door. She is a healthy, loving family member.
Bella has completed an 8 week obedience class where she learned to sit, stay, down, come, wait and beginning of heeling. She now weighs 48lbs. Her most favorite pastime is being squirted with the hose. She also enjoys car riding and watching Animal Planet on tv. Her family just got a pop-up camper and she already thinks it is hers.
