Bernice came to RAGOM from a commercial breeding auction. She’s a shy girl and will need a confident resident dog to help teach her the wonders of living in a home environment. Bernice can live with children over 10, but has not yet been tested around cats. A physical fence is required to keep her safe outdoors. She’s proven to be a quick learner and would love to continue her training with her new family.

Bernice came to us as a shy little puppy who was afraid of most everything. She, since then, blossomed into a beautiful, oh so loving, and playful puppy dog.

A beautiful couple thought her personality best suited their little family and decided she should have her furever home with them where she will get to play to her heart’s content. She will be looking forward to playing with a very energetic playmate named Ginger.

Have a great life little "Bea Bea"—we will certainly miss your little wiggle butt greeting us every day!

Greetings from the comfort of my foster’s home. I guess nothing has changed for me but Foster Mom is around a lot more. Foster Dad comes earlier and man, when he comes in the door, I can hardly stand it (insert wiggle butt here).

With the warmer weather, I have been learning more about the outdoors and people and the rascally birds called robins! They tease me so!

I’m a little bit more nervous about new things now but Foster Mom just pushes on and gets me over the hump, whatever a hump is. I still like the spot between her ankles. I can’t help it; things sometimes don’t feel right just yet. And I let her know it with a bark.

Doing much better with tinkling outside. I let them know when it’s time to go out. They sure are patient with me. I’m so glad they are because I love them so much. My tell-tale sign, I guess, is that tail and wiggle butt.

Me and Hazel (Foster Sis) have a great time together. She’s pretty chill. She plays like me but I look to her for directions and TLC. I love, love, love that girl.

Well, I guess that’s about it for now. Please stay home so you don’t get sick so you can give me a new home.

Wet kisses and snuggles,
Bernice

Dear Future Fur-ever Home,

How are you doing without me during this virus thing?

I am having a great time playing and sleeping and then playing some more. I even got my foster sister to lose some weight. I’m so much younger so I must tire her out (she’s 3) but I do love her and look to her for everything so I’m the ying to her yang? ! I keep her slim and trim and she shows me the ropes.

Speaking of which, my foster sister showed me how to be like a cat and lay on the back of the couch. It’s really comfy up here and you can see lots from up here.

Well, stay healthy so when this lock in is lifted, you can meet me. I think you will love me, that’s what foster mom keeps saying. Anyways...I’m just bein' a Golden is all.

Love, Bernice

To that one special family out there....

No pictures this time. They would just be more pictures of Bebe and my pup's constant playing and more just plain cuteness and love of life (can't you tell I love watching them play?).

This update is more my thoughts on this little 'wiggle butt'. When she is excited to see you, that tail and butt does the most adoring wiggle! More cuteness. Today she sat at the door with my dog to greet my husband at the end of the work day. Can it get any CUTER?!

I think about her personality and what a gift she will be to a family. I have fostered puppies from 8 weeks on up and Bebe’s demeanor, while only 6 months old, is much calmer than other puppies her age.

She is still very playful, but pretty chill for a puppy. That's why I say she will be a gift. In addition, she is past the 'have to chew' on everything stage. Not destructive at all and you can redirect her instantly and she remembers. Potty training is going great. She has not had any accidents

Oh, forgot to mention, she absolutely loves the snow. She loves burrowing in it or just laying on top of a snow bank. And, finally, when meeting strangers for the first time, she's a pro! She loves everyone!

She's an absolute sweetheart and so happy with any toys or attention she can soak up.

Dear My Fur-Ever home,

Apparently my foster mom has nothing else to do but take pictures of me. She must think I am cute or somethin'. I was hoping my secret wouldn’t be found out that I am a Velcro dog!

I love cuddles, too! Oh my gosh, Mom! You make me blush!

And this next picture, well, that’s me sitting on my foster sister's head! I like to do this. Pretty comfortable on that fat head of hers!

And my fav game is tug of war. Foster Dad rescued his smelly sock. Throw it in the wash and we won’t stretch it out (shaking head).

We play until we have no more enorgy. Gee mom, the pictures you take (eye roll)!

So anyways, I am having lots of fun. Mom says I am doing well with going out to do my business. Seriously, mom?! Really, talkin' about my toilet stuff?!

I do not like my kennel at all, but I show them I don’t get into any mischief. Unless it’s a toy, and even then, I only use the toy to play with and not knock the stuffing out!

Well, that’s all for now. I hope my furever home is out there and I have another pooch friend to play with!

On behalf of RAGOM, let me introduce you to Bernice. This little sweetheart is a 7-month-old Golden. She comes to us from a commercial breeder sell-out. Consequently, Bernice is a bit timid, but once she feels comfortable she opens up like a flower.

Bea is going to require a large dog as a doggie mentor to continue showing her what it means to be a pet and what it's like to be loved. She looks to my Golden for direction, especially when she needs to do her business. She won't go out unless my dog is with her.

She's come a long way in the week I have had her! That said, we are still working on potty training. A few times she has come to me in another room after getting up from a nap. I took this as maybe a signal she needed to go out, and I was right.

We are also leash training Bea, and it is going well. At first she wanted to walk between our legs, which was not so good for her clumsy foster, but now she is much more confident when we take a walk!

Lastly, she was very territorial regarding toys and food, and that has all but disappeared! This foster mom is very proud of her and I can't wait to continue the positive updates.
