In addition to LOVE this dog has the following requirements:Entered Foster CareFenceKid FriendlyAnother DogCat FriendlyFeb 2014  optionalover 10 yrsenjoys another dog not tested This is the most recent information available; however, it may change as we learn more about the dog.

Bizzy 05-335 is a returning RAGOM dog due to her owners moving. She is 13 years old - will be 14 on Sept. 30th. Bizzy is a PB Golden, weighs around 60 lbs, spayed, just had her Rabies shot, good with kids, has not been around cats. Bizzy will bark if she see's a dog while on a walk. When she use to visit Grandpa's home he had a dog and there were no issues with guarding food/toys. Bizzy has no guarding issues with humans. Bizzy does have spring/summer allergies and her tummy will get red and irritated from the grass. They've tried Benadryl and she gets an upset tummy from that so they use Aloe Gel on her tummy and that seems to help. Bizzy is an indoor dog, will use a crate sometimes and is given a treat when she goes in. Free roam, loves car rides, no anxieties and unknown on baby gates. She does like Kleenex and will take them out of the garbage when you leave the home. Bizzy also likes panties - she will rip them apart. It is unknown if she ingests any parts of the panties. Bizzy is at the age now where she likes to go outside, sniff some, do her jobs and come right back inside. But if she see's a deer she will chase it. Bizzy can still take the stairs with no problems, but does need help getting in and out of a car.

Bizzy is doing well. Since she is almost 13 years old complications are to be expected with her health. She has some pretty bad arthritis in all of her lower joints (all 4 legs). After a recent vet visit we were told that her tremors were a result of the pain from her arthritis. She likes to let the world know who she is by barking, she has a very sweet elderly sounding bark. We don't mind it one bit, but others probably do. She is a very sweet gal, her big brown eyes are very hard to say no to. She and our other rescue dog, Toby, have become good friends and like to play in the back yard at least 10 times a day.

Bizzy is officially adopted to a wonderful mom and she has moved to Cedar Rapids, IA!

I sure couldn't be happier for Bizzy as this is just exactly what I was hoping for. You just never know when you have a senior foster dog, and especially in her advanced age, if you will really place them in a new home when you take them in. It takes that special person to really understand how sweet and wonderful it is to have a senior dog and of course, not knowing how long it might be. I was prepared to keep this sweet girl for the rest of her life if the perfect family did not come forward. I had two main requirements for Bizzy:

  1. She is spoiled rotten
  2. This is her FINAL forever home

Even though this is what it's about, we do miss her energy she brought to our home. Bizzy has shown no signs of slowing down and I am hoping that Bizzy and her new mom have a long time to bond and have a wonderful life together.

Here are some pictures of her adoption day with her new mom, Susan!

Bizzy is doing just great and I enjoy her every day and love her to pieces. She attended our big fundraising event, Goldzilla, last Sunday and she had a great time. She made sure everyone was aware of her presence throughout the day with her cute hoarsy bark shout-outs! :)

Bizzy finally is enjoying her mealtimes now that I have found the perfect food for her. She is eating Sojo's freeze dried food in turkey flavor and eats up every last bit of it when served! She also enjoys green beans with her meals. I am not sure how she has become so fussy, but I am happy that we have found something to her liking.

Even though Bizzy is very active and loves her walks, she is a good sleeper and is very relaxed when hanging out at home with her foster brother Buddy and FM.

Hello, Bizzy Fans! Bizzy continues to do well and is just so sweet. She definitely is a talker and likes to make her presence known, but it's the sweetest little old lady bark. We are house and dog sitting at friends' for a couple of weeks and she is doing just great with the pack of 4. She always seems to adjust very easily to all the changes in her life and she is no worse for the wear!

Also a note to all Bizzy and RAGOM fans out there…

Bizzy will be at Goldzilla and you will be able to find her at the Foster Tent with me from 10:30-12:30. If you miss her there, she will be partaking in the foster parade after that. If you don't see her right away, you might hear her first. :)

Goldzilla is almost here, September 14th, and we just want to let you know about something very special happening the day of the event.  There will be a large board (near the baseball backstop) with all the pictures of available dogs.  You can help by purchasing a foster paw print sticker at the merchandising tent in increments of $10, $25, $50, and $100.  Once purchased, you will place the paw print sticker next to the picture of the dog you’d like to support.  You will also have the opportunity to write that particular dog a note, which will be posted the dog’s page after the event.  This is a great way to show support for RAGOM and a particular dog that may be pulling at your heartstrings.  Please consider stopping by the merchandise tent to purchase a Foster Fan Board paw print while at Goldzilla.

Here is a sweet video of Bizzy thoroughly enjoying her bathtime. She was so relaxed and just soaking it up!

Bath time is very serious.

Bizzy continues to be her darling self. She is just turning into such a sweet love bug with me, but she still maintains her independence and will go to any location in the condo that best suits her comfort. Here are two cute pictures of Bizzy doing two of her favorite things:

Bizzy continues to be the sweetest dog ever and continues to do well with our routine. To be honest, she did change my routine a bit because she is ready for everyone to get up at around 6 am! I’m not always sure if it’s driven by her need to eat or go outside, so we do both.

Bizzy went to an event with me this week to Caribou Headquarters and once she announced to all that she was there, she enjoyed many treats and soaked up the love.

Bizzy loves loves loves her treats, but for some reason is a little more fussy about her food. She eventually will finish it, but only when she is sure nothing better is coming. I have found a dry kibble that she seems to like the best; in addition, I add green beans which she really seems to love and a bit of salmon to entice her. Bizzy is at a perfect weight at 61 lbs.

I continue to keep Bizzy on 1/2 prednisone tablet every day to manage her itching due to allergies. When the weather gets cooler, I will try to ween her off of them, hoping that her allergies are seasonal. Also, she takes two supplements for her joints.

Bizzy loves her walks and is quite spunky for her age. Her only challenge is to not react when she sees other dogs on our walks. She is harmless, but very vocal, especially when she sees smaller dogs. If they ignore her, she will give it up and move on. If they bark back, then the game is on! Once she starts barking, I will redirect her and keep moving and she will give it up relatively quickly. I am working with her to make her less reactive and I am using an Easy Walk harness and a Gentle Leader to take it down a notch. Lucky she has a sweet old-lady bark!

If you are looking for a sweet senior girl, who is happy to hang out with you, always excited for a walk or a car ride, Bizzy is your gal. She just wants to be with you. She follows me everywhere, so now I have two.

I have had Bizzy for two weeks now and she is doing just great. She is such a trooper, always seems to be up for anything.

Bizzy has been very busy meeting new friends and attending events and parties. You would never know she is almost 14 years old as she seems to have plenty of energy and then settles down nicely.

Bizzy and friends

Here is a sweet video showing what a happy and energetic girl she can be.

Bizzy is taking prednisone for her allergies, which I believe are seasonal, so we will see come late fall if we can ween her off or be on them. In addition, she is on a couple of different supplements for joint maintenance.

Here’s a picture of Bizzy and resident dog, Buddy, in the yard enjoying their bones together.

Even though Bizzy is a senior girl, can you find it in your heart to give her, finally, her forever home? You will never regret the sweetness and preciousness of the sugar-faced dog.

Bizzy has been with me about a week and she has adjusted so well. I really give this girl a lot of credit for being almost 14 years old and so strong during all these changes in her life. She has been a pleasure to have in our home. Bizzy attended her first event with me on Saturday and did great! She is a bit of a talker when she sees new dogs (or sometimes old dogs!) and likes to make herself known each time.  She's got a cute little hoarsey bark that does not seem to bother most dogs. Once she has a chance to say hello and take a sniff, she completely moves on. This whole process takes about 2 seconds. She is friendly and interested in other dogs, but she much prefers to hang out with people over other dogs.

Bizzy soaking up the love:

Bizzy had a good time at the event and now she is ready to go home. She is a great car rider and slept most of the way home.

Bizzy is almost 14 years old but you’d hardly know it. She spent a few days with us in Sioux Falls and was amazing. She was ready to go outside anytime with the pack here and followed me around the house. Otherwise she’s pretty quiet sleeping nearby. But outside, she announces to all that she is there and she has a funny hoarse bark. My dogs are always searching the backyard for rabbits hiding in the daylilies and when they scare one up, Bizzy was right there in action chasing. She was alert to rabbits along our walk, too, even if they were across the street. Her nose or eyes are still working very well.

Bizzy loves to go for walks and pulls you along. I was not prepared for that in such an old dog. She was also eager to go with us in the car and take a walk at the park with the other dogs. She has some arthritis and is taking medicine for it. She has a few old age bumps but is remarkable. Her coat is a lovely mottled color with red and white mixed in.

If you are looking for a loving companion or want to give a forever home to a senior Golden, please consider Bizzy. She would do well in a home with other dogs. We had five dogs here ranging in age from five to twelve, both males and females. She got along well with all. She was more active and able than the other younger senior dogs. Her weight is good so that helps her with the joints.  Please take a look at Bizzy and see if she would fit into your life. She is a real sweetheart.
