I am very excited to introduce the perfect little angel Blair. Blair came to my home this past Sunday June 24th. Blair is a 64 lb mix between a Golden and English springer spaniel. She just had her fourth birthday this June. We went to the vet on Monday and she is now UTD and micro chipped. Blair is such a little sweet heart. She gets along well with kids and my miniature dachshund Heidi. She is also house trained. She has free roam of our home and has not had any accidents. Even though she is an indoor dog she loves to be outside and soak up the sun.

The first couple nights went flawlessly. From the second Blair came in our doors she began her cuddling craze. She absolutely loves to cuddle and curl up right next to you. She is a Velcro pup and loves to go around the house with me wherever I go. Blair definitely has a goofy personality. She likes to find unique hiding places in whatever room we are in. Whether it is under pillows or under tables she loves to hide herself. She doesn’t like her crate we have so I think her hiding is her way of making her own safe little spot.

She loves to be around people. At the vet and groomer’s Blair captivated everyone she met with her sweet heart. The vet techs were so impressed with how calm Blair was and how she just went with whatever and seemed upbeat through it all.

Her activity level is pretty mellow. She likes when we go on walks and is energetic but by the time we get home she is pooped. She hasn’t played with many toys yet but this may be due to the change of her scenery and her settling in.

I know I have fallen in love with Blair this past week. She has so much love to offer and would be a great addition to any family.

We just came back from a beautiful weekend at the cabin. I got to learn some fun new things about Blair J Blair is definitely a natural at the lake. From the second we got up there her spirits rose and a new burst of energy came. As normal, the energy calmed and her usual mellow-self rolled around. She loves to sit on our big wooden swing and watch all the activity on the lake. Geese and duck families would swim by and she would perk up her ears and watch them intently but she never went after them. She also loved going on the paddleboat and riding around the shore of the lake. She just soaked up the sun and chilled.

The best thing about the weekend was watching Blair let loose and finally play with some toys! After a few tries and some encouragement Blair started fetching balls out of the lake. We even got her to jump of the dock to fetch them. She was having an absolute blast. I definitely think Blair’s love for the lake makes her a great candidate for having a kiddie pool in the back yard to play in when we aren’t at the lake.

The lake definitely made Blair and my dachshund Heidi bond. There are a few neighboring dogs that got to meet Blair. Heidi is already very familiar with them and ran up to them excited to see them. Blair on the other hand was skeptical at first and made sure she was right by Heidi protecting her just in case. Once Blair realized we all were comfortable with the neighbor dogs she was too. She just wanted to make sure we were ok before she let her guard down.

One thing we have really learned this past week with Blair is she needs to be around people 24/7. When we leave for work she gets stressed and is crazily excited when we come home. I don’t think she likes being alone very much but having Heidi around helps her. Blair definitely needs someone who can be around more often for her.

This was a great weekend getting to know Blair, we are definitely excited to go back up to the lake next weekend and play some more ball!
