BlonD is a sweet 3-1/2 year old female Golden Doodle.   BlonD came to RAGOM from a family in Minnesota.   She was surrendered due to her allergies.   We are trying to determine if it is the typical skin allergies that sometimes occurs in poodles and goldens or is it something else.  More on that as we discover what we are dealing with.   She is up to date on all her shots and is microchipped.  She weighs about 50 pounds.
BlonD LOVES people!   She wants to be with her people.   While I get ready in the morning she is in the bathroom leaning against me.   While I write this, she is of course by my chair - leaning into me.   She must be touching her person.   She gives a lot of kisses.  I am trying to teach her not to do so much licking of people's hands.   She is a jumper as well.   Any new person that comes to the door is greater with a hug.  She should be watched around young children as she will topple them over, due to her excitement.    I think she will eventually be ok with sitting nice, but she will need training.   She has  good recall while out playing.   She comes back when called.   BlonD knows sit.   Not so good at stay.
She has been to beginners obedience training.   I would encourage BlonD's adoptive family to go to continuing training.  She loves to please and be with you.   She will insert herself between you and another dog.   She is not aggressive but it is obvious what she is doing.   She pulls some when on a leash.   She loves to ride in a car and watches out the window.      She will bark when she sees people and other dogs walk past the house but will quiet down.
She loves to be brushed and play fetch.   She loves to wrestle with other dogs and has many fur buddies and done really well in the introductions.   She prances when running.   She is very cute and soooooo happy.
BlonD will counter surf and has been known to chew on inappropriate items in the past such as a light bulb!     She does get kenneled during the day and is very good about going into the kennel in the morning.   She sleeps in the bedroom at night and generally in the bed right next to me.   That has been nice on these cold nights.
BlonD will be at  PetSmart in Plymouth on Saturday, February 12th.  She should be there around 11:00.

BlonD is in her forever home!!! It was love at first sight for both BlonD and the family who found her irresistible. It is a perfect match! She has a mom and dad who love her very much and two sweet young girls who will grow up giving her lots of play time and attention.  Here is what BlonD's new mom says about her: "She is sweet, friendly, gentle, kind, very responsive, a good listener, and fast learner." We're very happy for all of them!

Through no fault of her own, BlonD 11-035 is with a new foster family of two adults with no other pets. She had no problems transitioning into our home and way of life. She is such a sweet girl! She has been with us for a week, and from what we have seen, BlonD's favorite things are being petted and playing fetch. She loves running after a tennis ball, and she will even bring the ball back and drop it at our feet! Very impressive! She is learning to take walks wearing a Gentle Leader. She is a quick learner and wants to please. She hasn't chewed or even picked up anything she wasn't supposed to, although until we know her better, we will be crating her when we are gone. She enters her crate with no fuss, and could stay there several hours.

At 3 1/2 years old, she has lots of energy. We are able to keep her from jumping on us, on our furniture and window sills, however, when someone new is introduced, she becomes very excited and jumps up on them. But because BlonD is such a people pleaser, I feel confident she can be trained to "stay down". Because she is half poodle, she hardly sheds at all. She follows us everywhere we go in the house, so she's easy to keep track of. She sleeps on a dog bed next to our bed and stays in bed all night. (Although if one of us gets up in the night, she will follow us, then go back to bed when we do.) She is house trained with no accidents. BlonD knows the "sit" command very well, and we're working on "stay".

She is very compliant being bathed, having her ears cleaned, and having paws and teeth checked. She doesn't guard food or toys and has shown no aggression or dominance at all toward us. She takes treats very politely. She loves looking out the window and is very curious, exploring anywhere she goes using her nose to guide the way. BlonD is a very attentive and loving companion!
