3/21/07: Meet Baby Boy, a gangly, tall 7 month old purebred male pup (dob 8/2/06). This is quite possibly the calmest, sweetest young dog we've ever met! He arrived in our home last night, rather timid and shy, but has warmed up a lot with our resident Golden to show him the way. He was totally afraid of stairs last night...by today he is cautiously going up and down (he looked pretty hilarious when his front feet headed down but his back feet remained firmly planted on the hallway floor at the top--this is one LONG boy!). He was never named by his family, they just called him Baby Boy, and he answers to Baby or Boy. Right off, we think he'd do best in 1) a home with another dog and 2) a home with a fenced yard, although he's so young he could surely adapt as necessary. He came from a multi-dog household, and clearly our adult Golden makes him feel much more secure. We tried him on our backyard tie-out last night (no physical fence here) and he hit the end of the cable so hard his new collar snapped under the strain. But he came right back, following our Golden, when called--we're hearing a lot of "Good Boy!" around here! He loves to give kisses and is just the sweetest dog ever! His coat is a lovely red-gold. He has an interesting curl to his tail--viewed from the top, it looks exactly like a question mark. So Boy's question today is, are you my forever family? If you're interested, email Placement
ragom [dot] org, because a dog this sweet isn't going to be around long! He'll be vetted and neutered in the next few days, and then will be ready to meet you!
