Brandi 08-464

Profile

Brandi was surrendered by a very loving man who cared tremendously for her. Circumstances came about in his life and he had to give her up. We have promised him to find her the perfect home where she will continue to be loved and spoiled.  Tim, you have my word that we will find her that home.

Brandi is a gorgeous, healthy golden lab mix that is blessed with the prettiest light brown eyes. She weighs in at 64# and is very sweet. Brandi will be 4 years old on April 19th of next year.  She is very well behaved from what we've seen so far.

We are dogsitting Bear 08-421 and we have our resident golden, Lucy. When they all met in the backyard it went well.  We could tell Brandi was pretty nervous (and probably frightened) with being in a new place. She did let out a warning growl, and the other two heeded it and that was all. They are all three still feeling each other out, but I don't forsee anything happening. Right now Brandi is sleeping on my right foot and Bear is sleeping on my left foot....

Brandi also met our three cats with no problems.  She has shown no interest in them so far.

Brandi rode two hours to get to us and she did great in the car.

She grew up with a fenced yard and we have a fenced yard, so we'd like to find her a forever home with a fenced yard.Obviously, we're still getting to know this kind soul, but if you have interest in meeting her and being swept off your feet, email placementatragom [dot] org and we'll see it's a match.
Thank you for reading about Brandi.

From Brandi's forever family...

We wanted to share Brandi's update!

Brandi has been with us for over a month now and it is hard to remember what our life was like without her. She has fit in perfectly! She really enjoys all the attention the kids give her. She loves to snuggle next to us wherever we are. Eli and Lizzie love to take her outside and have Brandi chase them around. Her favorite game is hide and seek!

Our family and friends have all loved seeing Brandi's dance she does when she is excited! She will even stand up to get a hug!

I never expected to fall so in love with her. She has truly melted my heart! She is such a perfect addition to our family and we look forward to many years of family memories with her. And we are very anxious to take her up to our lake home this summer! We know she will love it! Thank you Ragom for making our family complete with Brandi.

The S Family!

As stated in Brandi's very first update, Brandi was surrendered by a very loving man. I gave my word to him that we would find her the perfect home with a loving family. I'm very happy to say that Brandi has found that home and found that family.

Brandi was adopted tonight and she was very happy to see her new family and frolic with the children in the kitchen. We have another RAGOM success story and it couldn't come at a better time of the year. Brandi has been granted her one and only Christmas wish.

Thank you RAGOM for giving this girl the opportunity to find her new family. And thank you RAGOM for giving us the opportunity to host her here in our home. She is an angel and she has now moved on to continue her journey.

Thank you for reading up on Brandi and following her story.

There are many other RAGOM pups looking to fill their very own Christmas wish this season. Could your family be the one to grant it?

Brandi was excited to see the new snow this morning. She's such a goof and just ran around in the backyard when we let them out this morning.

Brandi is still waiting for her biggest Christmas wish to come true....She whispers to me all the time that the only thing she wishes for is her very own forever family to spend Xmas with and cuddle with.... She patiently waits by the windows hoping that person or family will come along...

Brandi continues to do great here with Lucy. They are always playing and wrestling and playing some more....

Yesterday marked 8 weeks that Brandi has been with us. The first day was a bit testy as she just wanted her personal space, being in a new and foreign environment. But we were patient and helping and Lucy was a gracious host and since those first few hours it has been awesome to have this girl with us. However, I just can't understand why no one has come forward to meet her. Once you meet her and see her, it will be love at first sight...

If you have a fenced in yard and lots of love to share with a wonderful girl, please let placementatragom [dot] org know. We can arrange for a holiday meeting....

Thank you for reading about Brandi's adventures. She looks forward to meeting you.

Soft velvety ears. Endearing, long staring eyes. Personality to entertain you each night. A soft, golden heart and soul. These are just a few things that would describe Brandi.

Sure, she's not a pure-bred, but we don't hold that against her. She's sweet as pie and that is all that matters.

Brandi spent the latter part of last week at another foster while we were out of town. Thank you Darcy for caring for her and doing such a great update on her. Brandi is, as you wrote, SWEET and EASY....

Brandi has been looking out the windows alot lately. It seems she has decided that she really likes the RAGOM life, but would really like to find her very own forever family for the holiday season. She knows the right family is out there, so she just looks out the windows waiting for them to get here. Could that be you? She'll be patient and enjoy her stay here in the mean time.

Brandi has the ability to stand straight up on her hind legs. She does this when she's looking in the trees for birds. I finally got a couple photos of it today.

Brandi's coat is so soft and pretty. A deep red/amber in color and her eyes almost match her coat color perfectly. She really is a beautiful pup with so much love to give.

We allow Lucy and Brandi on the couches here at our home. There are few pics of that below. But it should be known that if you want her off the futniture, she will get off. She listens very well about that.

We hope you'll consider giving Brandi a home for the holidays. Please contact placementatragom [dot] org if you'd like to meet her.

Thank you for reading up on her. She says, "Woof!"

Saturday marked 4 weeks that Brandi has been with us. I can't believe it's been that long already. I can't believe she has not been adopted.

Brandi is a beautiful, healthy girl who has such a personality to her. We brought her in last week for a quick weigh in. She is now at 59# and the vet thought her ideal weight was 58 or 59 so she is there!

When she first came here she was a bit nervous with being around another dog for the first time. Now she and our Lucy are best friends and cuddle and wrestle together. They get along great and I know Brandi Pants would get along with other dogs also. It will just take a short 'get to know you' period.

Brandi loves kids. Our neighbor kids have been coming over to play with her and she follows them around and wants to run with them. One of the boys wants to bring her home each time.

She did great with all the trick or treaters at our door, and there were many. We counted 176 in total. And it was a slow year....

She has now mastered sit and lay down. She is very treat motivated and is very willing to please.

Brandi has a few cute things she does: Sometimes she'll start talking to you and dancing around on her front paws. She'll do this to get you off the couch and down to the floor to pet her. Our she'll do it when she has to go outside. It's so funny to see.

Brandi is now allowed on our couches, but she listens very, very well is you want her down. She got up and cuddled with me while I fell asleep on the couch last week.

She also decided to wear my halloween costume sunglasses for a spell. She looks hot.

Another really cute thing Brandi does is how she smiles. When she is happy she just runs or walks around with her mouth open. But the way her lower lips fold into her mouth, they cover all her teeth but her two lower canines. So she looks sort of toothless. She is a doll.

We love having Brandi here and she is welcome to stay here as long as it takes for that perfect family to happen along. She is a content, well mannered, house trained pup loves to go for car rides. In fact, last weekend she went out into the garage and jumped into my truck. She would not get out until I took her for a car ride into town and back. When we got back she jumped out and ran right inside.

We'd still like to find a home with a fenced yard for her and she likes to run around out there and have fun, so the bigger the better...

Please contact placementatragom [dot] org if you'd like to meet her. She may have the shorter hair, she is stunningly pretty with the way she looks.

Thank you for reading up on sweet, loveable Brandi.

We still love having Brandi here. She is so fun to have around and is such a silly girl.

She is crate trained, but the last few nights she has been sleeping in our room with us. She settles on a dog bed on the floor right away and sleeps thru the night quietly. Sometimes she starts to wimper or make some noise, but then we look and see she is just dreaming. It's quite cute and only happened twice now and is very subtle.

She continues to have fun with her best friend Lucy. There is a pic of them together today. Brandi is also a big cuddlebug. She loves to be around us and hang out while we watch TV.

Please contact placementatragom [dot] org if you'd like to meet her.

It's such a great day, I took extra photos today to show off her eyes and beautiful soft coat in the sunshine.

Thank you for your interest in sweet Brandi Pants (that's what we call her)

Brandi girl is still doing great! We love this charming little gal. She just loves to be loved and give love.

She's all ready for trick or treating and was trying out her Xmas outfit already... She's such a happy girl.

Brandi does great with children and very kind with them. She has no aggressions or resource guarding habits. I can take toys from her and put my hand in her food dish while she's eating and could care less.

Brandi gets many compliments whereever we go. She is a very pretty girl that has a very unique look to her. We take her and Lucy on car rides any chance we get and they love it.

We are still hoping to find her a home with a fenced in yard. And someone willing to further her obedience education with a class. She knows sit, but listens better for it when you have a treat.

Brandi is a very loving girl that waits here patiently for her forever family to knock on the door. Did I mention she is a great guard dog?

Please email placementatragom [dot] org  if you'd like to meet her.

Thank you for reading about her.

The weather has gotten a bit cooler, but that hasn't stopped Brandi from having fun in the back yard. She loves to run and play and have fun with fetching balls and playing chase with Lucy. They've even started to wrestle, which is Lucy's favorite form of play...

Brandi continues to show us just how great she is with her emerging personality. Every day she gets more silly and engaging with us and has become quite the companion dog.

I've taken to trying to use one word to describe our fosters. I know there are many words to describe each and every available dog, however if I had to use just one word to describe Brandi it would be 'Loyal'. Brandi seems so wanting to please us and be near us as a wonderful loving companion.

She is still looking for her forever home, and we will help her do so. We are happy to have her here with us until she does find them.... Brandi is so charming and sweet. We would consider adopting her ourselves, but then we could not continue fostering and we love it too much to give it up at this point.

If you'd like to meet Brand, let placementatragom [dot] org know and maybe we can set up introductions....

Thank you for your interest in her.

Brandi has been here with our Lucy and Bear 08-421 for 6 days now. What a silly charmer she has turned out to be!

She likes to flirt and talk to you. She wants to play with Lucy and they are almost to the point where they will be best friends. She behaves very well and loves to be loved. She is housetrained and loves to ride in the car.

We let Brandi have free roam while at work yesterday and today. She did great! No problems. I'm sure she, Bear and Lucy all kept each other company....

Brandi has been sleeping in her kennel each night. She goes in and settles right in and sleeps all night.

This girl really is a sweet girl with so much love to give and show you. We love having her here.

One thing I keep forgetting to mention is how soft her fur on her head and ears is. It's very soft on her whole body, but especially on her head and ears. Brandi is very pretty and in great health.

Brandi does pull on a leash when walking her, but we're working on that. She could also benefit from an obedience class to sharpen her skills. Her recall is not the best, especially when she sniffs out something she wants to find or she sees. For this reason and the fact she has always lived with a fenced yard, we want to find a forever home for her with a fenced in yard. I believe she would do fine with or without another dog. It may just take a few days for them to fully adjust to each other.

So with all that said, could you be her forever family? Want to meet this honorary golden that will charm the socks off you? Then email placementatragom [dot] org to set it up.

Brandi has been with us for two days now. We've learned some more about this kind-eyed princess....

Brandi and Lucy are getting along fine now. Lucy is even starting to engage Brandi into some playing in the back yard. Brandi was raised as the only dog in her previous home so she isn't quite sure what to think of Lucy play-bowing in front of her, but by the end of the week, I'm sure they'll be playing tag and wrestling in the back yard.

We've taken Brandi on a couple of walks now. She pulls and could use some more leash training and an obedience class. She knows sit and usually listens.

Brandi is still getting used to being in a new home with new dogs and new people and even 3 cats. The cats - she could care less about. The people - she likes us and isn't shy anymore. The dogs - she is getting along with them as well. We think it is best to introduce Brandi to other dogs slowly. She can get a bit overwhelmed with a new dog and gets nervous. She would probably do best as an only dog, but really likes her attention from her humans.... She was showered with love and attention in her previous home (and she is here too).

I've attached a good number of new photos of her. Different angles and poses. But she has her big smile in most of them. Brandi is a happy girl. She loves to run around in our back yard.

Brandi went to the vet this morning. She weighed in at 62.5# and the vet thinks she should be at 58 or 59 for an ideal weight. She is now microchipped an UTD on everything. So she is anxiously waiting for her forever home to come meet her...

Thank you for your interest in Brandi. She is really sweet and beautiful. Email placementatragom [dot] org if you want to meet her.

I'm very cute!
