Profile

Faster than a speeding grandma,
More powerful than a 2-yr. old,
Able to leap tall ANT HILLS in a single bound,

Look, around that tree!
It's a bird!
It's a deer!
It's SUPER BRANDON!

Yes, It's SUPER BRANDON, a strange, 10 yr. old visitor from the planet Earth who came to RAGOMLAND
with special powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men.

For example:

  1. Can a man be on all fours and see what’s on top of the kitchen counter—and not counter surf?
  2. Can a man carry 2 stuffed toys in his mouth for an extended period of time?
  3. Can a man enter any person’s home and become a instant family member—loved by ALL 2-leggers and a pack of dogs in the matter of 1 night?

I think not! These are very special powers that can be yours when you adopt this SUPER HERO into your home as we are enjoying in ours!!!

SUPER BRANDON arrived in RAGOMLAND just a few days ago. Displaced from his life long home on Earth due to a foreclosure, then rescued by a Good Samaritan for a few months until she realized that Brandon deserved more and gave him a chance in RAGOMLAND! We THANK HER so much for helping our SUPER HERO find his way to us—as even a SUPER HERO needs to be rescued from time to time.

This SUPER DOG is a gentle giant with so much love to give! He is completely UTD with his shots & microchip, his blood work came back excellent and though he definitely shows the wear and tear and lumps of a 10 yr. old doggie that has had a less than adventurous life-- namely the big black calluses on his elbows from lying on a hard floor for hours on end and really stiff hips— Brandon is ready to live out his final years as the SUPER HERO DOGGIE he was meant to be all along !

Like all SUPER HEROES, SUPER BRANDON gains his strength from the LOVE of his family and—of course—the all powerful Rimydahl! So far, SUPER BRANDON is showing some early benefits of the med that we started a few days ago which will help him to enjoy life the way he deserves--just as a SUPER DOG should! Brandon says he's ready and willing to be your SUPER DOG!

But first, a nap—as all SUPER HEROES need proper rest! (notice his red cape in the background)

Stay tuned, as a new chapter in THE ADVENTURES OF SUPER BRANDON begins soon!

Super Brandon has landed here at his new foster home and let me tell you, it was love at first sight :) Not only did he come to the rescue of his fellow RAGOM girl in need... but he has also rescued our hearts! We lost our RAGOM boy Mr. Chips almost 1 year ago. We still miss him every single day, but having Super Brandon here with us helps fill a huge hole left when our senior boy went to the rainbow bridge. We love you Chippy and we think you must have sent Brandon here just for us! Thanks buddy :)

Brandon is the perfect dog! I can say that without any hesitation. I know, I know... you are saying : No dog is perfect! But, seriously this guy is AMAZING!!! He is so loving and sweet and wonderful and such a perfect gentleman! He has no bad habits. Has excellent manners. He doesn't beg, doesn't pull on a leash, doesn't even get on the furniture! Okay... so he drools a little :) But he even makes drool look good! He fits right in to our busy home and takes it all in stride. What a boy!

Brandon and all of the resident girls were guests yesterday at his former foster home for a doggie play date! 14 dogs total! :) Brandon ran and played and enjoyed the Brandon sized kiddie pool :) Check him out trying to fit in the little one... ha! (Thanks to Brittney for the photos of the day!) Brandon and his foster sisters were so wiped out from their doggie party they slept the rest of the day! Only moving to get up to eat their dinner. We had a blast! Thanks to Julie for having us over to play!

We are enjoying getting to know our very own super hero! Stay tuned for his adventures :)

Greetings ALL!!!

What a FABULOUS weekend we had here in RAGOMLAND!!!!

I met SO MANY fun kids and adults this weekend at the Slice of Shoreview!  Thank you for coming out to pet me and my friends!  I do want to apologize to those of you that came out to the RAGOM booth before noon to meet me. We had to wait for quite a long time to walk in the parade and so I had to pull up a curb and wait it out with the rest of them!  Yes…it was tough, but no complaints from me!  HA!

Turns out the parade did not end until noon and so we first went for a quick “cool down” dunk in the lake and then hung out at the booth until about 2pm with all my RAGOM friends and fans.  One funny 2-legger said that I reminded her of a dog named, “Marmaduke.” Not sure if that was a compliment or not---but FM said it was a great compliment because Marmaduke is a wonderful dog with a big loving heart and is just as silly as I am!  Hmmmm…ok well I would have preferred the description of BIG, Strong, and able to leap Giant Buildings in a single bound…but I’ll settle for BIG, wonderful dog with a big loving heart and a bit silly.”  That’s ME alright!

So many people asked me what I was looking for in my forever home so here is a recap since I’ve had a little more time to think about it:

  • A loving home where I’m not left alone more than 8 hours (My old life I was left alone 10+ hours and I can do that BUT—I’d rather not)
  • Kids would be great--- or at least the opportunity to be around them-- I gravitate towards them everywhere I go!
  • Dogs would be great in my home, but not necessary—the opportunity to be around them would do just fine
  • No fence needed for me
  • I love going for rides—esp. to where people are (nursing homes, parks, family gatherings) FM says I’d be a great Therapy Dog!
  • I love attention---but I’m not a total Velcro dog---I do give you your space and I enjoy mine.
  • I LOVE stuffed animals, BALLS, & going for walks!!!

Yep…that’s about it!  Pretty simple!   Oh yeah…and the Rimadyl would be great too.  FM found it for as low as $50/mo and it really makes a huge difference for me---I can do stairs, run and play, so that would be great to have as well to keep up my SUPER HERO antics!

Well…as they say, “Good things come to those who wait…and I’m happy to wait with my foster family until my forever family finds me! In fact…I wouldn’t mind waiting in the pool until they track me down.  So…if that is you…I’ll be waiting right here…but don’t wait too long because my paws might shrivel up.

Well…gotta run…FM has me hunting for all the lost BALLS me and my foster fur-butt brother Jonah lost yesterday.  I guess SUPER HEROES have to earn their keep too!

Hope to talk to you soon—

Your Big Guy—Lover Boy (FM made me say it!)

Hey there fellow RAGOM Super Heroes!!!

I can't wait for the big event!  Are you coming out to meet me and my friends at the Slice of Shoreview?

I even get to walk in the parade at 9 am and then we will be at the booth to sign autographs (and receive lots of pets I hope) until noon!  I can't believe it!!!  I'm even bringing my foster sister Miley--she's a RAGOM alumni--and drop dead gorgeous!

FM said I can't bring my stuffed animals with, but I think I can tuck them up under my cape and she'd never know---HA!  I can see it now...walking along in the parade, waving to all my fans and then one by one I start dropping stuffed bunnies out from under my cape!  Well, I guess it's better than dropping something else--like the horses do!  LOL!!!

I know---I'm a bit of a jokester!  Ha! Ha! Ha!  FM says I'm REALLY Funny

Well---I'll be looking for all you crazy RAGOM fans and--of course--my FOREVER FAMILY!  Just so you know...I'll be the TALL one with the red cape...and if you need more than that...I'll be hanging with a stunning red head (Miley)!

See you all there!

Your Fearless Friend!

Hello Friends!!!

I’ve had another FANTASTIC weekend here in RAGOMLAND!

FM & FD got a good laugh out of me trying to get comfortable in the “kiddie” pool which was pretty embarrassing!  Note to self:  I’m not “kiddie” size!    Good thing FD is observant!  Look what FD when out and bought just for me—And it’s SUPER SIZE!

I totally LOVE the water and spent every chance I could in there!!!  I even like the kind that falls from up above!  Some doggies get a little crazy when the weather gets bad—and so do those 2-leggers—but NOT ME!  I was cool, calm, and collected this weekend---and I think I was the ONLY one!  FM & FD piled us all into the lower level bathroom for about 20 minutes on Saturday night...now that was a sight!!!  HA! HA!  5 dogs and 2- 2 leggers in a little bathroom----LOL!!!  Ya gotta love them 2-leggers---they make me laugh!

Then, Super Girl Ginny and I scoped out the property Sunday morning and found nothing but tossed around lawn chairs, a tipped over volleyball net and some sorry lookin’ sunflowers---but other than that--the coast was clear so we headed in for breakfast!

FM is feeding me 4 cups of food a day (2cups/ 2X a day)!!! And really good food too!!!  And believe it or not---I lost 6 pounds since I arrived.  YIKES!  I came in at 102 and I’m now 96lbs.  While I was perfect before, FM said that with all the running and playing in my new daily routine, I might just have lost some and that might be a good thing for my hips.  Still---at 96lbs., I am stunning and the vet seemed pleased!

SUPER HERO NEWS:  we have a new record in the house!   Count’em  1….2….3 stuffed animals in my mighty mouth.  (I was going for a 4th…but FD interrupted with a game of Tug-A-War!)  Like I said…these 2-leggers are a riot!  I make all these BIG DOG growling sounds and that makes FD growl too!  He thinks it’s funny and I do too, so we go on and on like this until FM says, “OK Boys!”  It’s all in play and its super fun!

Well…off for a little nap before FM & FD return…ahhhhhh…this is the life of a Super Hero no doubt!  Remember---I’m will be out scouting for my Super Forever Family this coming weekend at the Slice of Shoreview event…AND if you come out to meet me and my other RAGOM friends…I’ll let you try on my red cape!

Can you say, “PHOTO OP?”   Can’t wait!

Hello Wonderful Residents of RAGOMLAND!

Isn’t it a beautiful day for a stroll through the … um…. well…not sure what this green thing is???

Weeds, grass, berries….whatever…it’s a beautiful place for a doggie to be!  I tell you what, I’m not sure if it’s that magic SUPER med Rimydal, or the SUPER FOOD (Blue Buffalo Senior) FM has me on now with those SUPER HERO “power” pellets, but BOY…do I feel like a 5 year old again!!!  I’ve been trotting around the track, playing with the “ladies” and shootin’ some hoops with Foster Dad!

This is the GOLDEN LIFE all right!!!!   FM reminded me that we should start telling everyone what I would like in my Forever Home.  “What do you mean FM?  Can’t I just stay here?” I asked.   FM smiled at me and gave me a big hug like she does every day when she comes home and said, “Oh Brandon, we’d love to have you stay with us, but if you stay with us, some family will miss out on having you as a member of their family, and that would be so sad!  You are such a sweet, loving dog!  SO mild mannered, funny, and the best car-riding dog ever!  We love you so much that we want you to have a SUPER home fit for the SUPER DOGGIE you are!”

Awwwwe….how do you argue with that???

Well, this is what I think I’d like for my SUPER home:

  • A 2-legged companion/family that I can love forever and that will love me right back
  • A place to sleep—I’m a floor sleeper and I don’t jump on furniture.
  • A 2-legger to take me for a walk—we all need our exercise
  • A space to play with my toys (stuffed animals and balls are my favorite things!), roll in the grass, and watch the birds.
  • I don’t need a fence…I do like to explore, but I come right back when called.
  • I’d like to keep taking my SUPER med Rimydal because it makes the aches disappear! (it costs about $60/month)
  • A good food like I’m currently eating
  • I’m great with kids—any age—so yes…they would be fun to have, but not necessary
  • I love other doggies—any age—so yes…they would be fun to have, but not necessary
  • I can be left for hours w/free roam of the house without any issues—I know how to behave myself—but since I was left alone 10-11 hours a day at least the last few years of my life, I’d sure like to close that alone time window a bit.  I’m spoiled right now because my foster sister is home for the summer.  But 8 hours alone would be fine.
  • And…last but not least…I love going places…so car rides would be a huge bonus!

So, if you think I, SUPER BRANDON, am the doggie you have been searching for and you are the SUPER home for me…PLEASE contact your placement advisor and let them know!  There’s no time to waste when there are belly rubs and kisses to be gotten!

I’ll be waiting right here with a couple of my friends…

It’s ME---SUPER BRANDON!  What a weekend I had!!!  There is so much to do here in RAGOMLAND and I’m surrounded by so many other great SUPER HEROES that all work together to further the mission and save the day.

On Friday, my Foster fur-sister Miley, a RAGOM alumni, and I received a text that RAGOM was in need of some crowd attracting doggies to join them at the big CAR SHOW Event.  Well, Miley is a total “knock out” (if you know what I mean?) and so all she had to do is smile and shake that beautiful red fur of hers in my direction and I was on board!  We shmoozed the crowd and mingled with the other RAGOM HEROES that came out to help spread the word.  What a great crowd of people, yet so many knew nothing about RAGOM---Can you believe it?  Well, let’s just say---after more eye fluttering, tail waggin’ and fur flying, they know about us now!  It was a total success and I can’t wait for all those people we talked with to check us out!!!

Being a SUPER HERO you are always under a watchful eye—mostly from your own family.  Miley was quick to point out that my SUPER SIZE might be a bit much for some people.  I guess since I stand 36” tall from head to floor and boldly carry a lean 102lbs. on my frame, some might be a bit intimidated by such girth, but don’t let it fool you.  Only Bad Guys are afraid of my size because the good people can see right through to my gigantic loving heart!  Bad Guys can’t see my heart, so my size frightens them away thus keeping the neighborhood safe and secure.  But trust me, once you see through to my heart, you won’t be able to keep your hands off of me!  I’m totally irresistible—another special power of mine!

On Saturday, I learned that being a SUPER HERO is not all about the big things as much as it is about the little things we do for each other.  You see, these 2-leggers are pretty easy, and a smile will bring them through some tough situations.  Foster Mom (FM) and Ginny, my other fur-butt “temp” foster sister, took me to go and visit Ginny’s mom in transitional care.  FM asked if I wanted to go and pass out some smiles with Ginny and of course, my tail was a waggin’ since I love smilin’ myself AND going with Ginny meant----going in the CAR!!!!  She and I LOVE going for rides so off we went to share some smiles!

And smile we did!  Ginny and I teamed up and hit every room in the place! I think we left a million smiles behind and there is an order for a million more!  So we get to come back every Saturday to spread the wealth of smiles!  YEAH! Ginny and I gave each other a HIGH-FIVE and a big smile!  What a great way to start the day!

When we got home, my foster fur-butt brother Shadow asked me if I wanted to ride shotgun and join him to meet the WHOLE family at the reunion.  I asked what the mission was because every SUPER HERO needs a mission.  Shadow explained, “Not every 2-legger likes dogs and there are a few people in the family that are afraid of bigger dogs like us, so I think you and I are just the right SUPER HEROES to change a mind or two.”  How can a SUPER HERO argue with that?  So, off we went to change the world, one family member at a time.   I started with the small 2-leggers and Shadow worked on the big ones.  Wow…can those little ones talk your ear off!

I didn’t really get a word in edgewise with this little 2-legger—but I did do a lot of listening—a very good SUPER HERO characteristic I’m told!  This little 2-legger told me some good things and bad things about big doggies and of course, I couldn’t help but want to hug her fears away—but I resisted as I didn’t want to scare her.   So, I continued to explain my side …some big dogs are really just big lovers etc…but the next thing I knew, she was hugging me and then kissing me!  She said, “ Sorry if that scared you, but I totally understand.  Some big dogs are nice like some little kids are nice, right?  So, can we be friends now Brandon?”

WOW…those 2-leggers are more understanding than I thought!   No wonder I love them so much!  We played and she brought more 2-leggers over to meet me.  Wasn’t that nice of her?

So much goodness out there!  I have to get some shut-eye before the next adventure begins …  I hear it’s something about finding a FOREVER FAMILY?  Not sure what that means…but it sounds like it has the makings of a great adventure.

Your Faithful Friend--

Super Brandon
