Brandy 06-318

Profile

Meet the newest RAGOM Golden girl: Brandy, approximately 4 years old. She is a beauty inside and out with gorgeous red wavy fur and a happy face and wagging tale. She has the typical Golden personality: easy-going, friendly, loves being petted or any type of attention. However, she doesn't have to be near someone all the time. She was quite dirty and heavily matted when she came to us yesterday. She got a bath less than an hour after she came. I have had many dogs and I have NEVER had a dog so calm and relaxed during a bath. We have brushed her many times and gotten rid of the mats and she seemed to really enjoy this.

She has blended in so well with our three resident Goldens that it seems like she's always been part of our clan. The vacuum cleaner didn't seem to bother her a bit. She hasn't been around any cats or kids since we've had her. We have taken her for several long walks and she doesn't pull on the leash at all. She went right into a crate without any hesitation - even went in on her own to take a nap. We haven't heard her bark yet. She's great in the car--no problem in the two-hour ride to our house. She knows a few commands and is very eager to please. She hasn't shown any interest in balls or toys so far. She seems more interested in people food than dog food, which probably explains her rotund frame! She has very fine facial features with a body that doesn't match. But with some exercise and proper diet, she'll slim down and have a body to match her sweet face.

More information to come after her vet appointment this week. She is spayed and heartworm negative. All her shots are now up to date. In 24 hours, we can already tell that this Golden girl is truly a treasure.
