Brody 13-328

Profile

Brody (cutie) and his littermate Baxter are 12-week-old PB male Golden Retriever puppies.  Their mom is from the group of Pine River dogs that were seized. The pups were born at the Animal Humane Society and they did a fantastic job getting them socialized. Brody is neutered and microchipped, and current on vaccines and preventatives, and he has been wormed. He is a healthy, happy, social puppy.

Hi, I’m Brody! Me and my brother Baxter have tons of fun things to do here, like play hide and seek in the hostas, and go for walks in the woods with our fur butt sisters who live here. We play play play, and then crash for a little while, then explore some more. My foster mom says even though I can be a stinker, I’m the best puppy she has ever seen and that makes me want to be an even better boy. I can sit and “down” for a treat, and she says I’d win the dog Grand Slam championship when she asks me to “shake.”  Me and Baxter are learning how to chill out too, and that’s when we get extra loving from FM!

FM got a kick out of me because I knew how to retrieve a ball when I first came here when I was 8 weeks old. I just love balls. This morning when she opened the crate when it was time to get up and go potty, I grabbed a ball to take with me. She thinks I’m Golden Retriever through and through because I always want something in my mouth, a shoe, a stuffed toy, and I love socks! I am a chewer (what puppy isn’t?), so FM watches me closely and seems to know all kinds of tricks to redirect me.  I’m mostly potty trained—FM is still learning to read my cues, so I still have an accident every once in a while.

I am such a good boy but I’m full of the dickens, so FM is looking for a family who will have time and really nurture and work with me. Let your placement person know if you are ready for one little hunk a chunk of love!

Brody was adopted by Josh and Kelsey and he went home tonight! They are so excited to add him to their family. He'll have a brother, Rider, who is a 1 year-old Lab.
