Brooke has arrived from Pine City, MN. Brooke is estimated to be about 2 years old and is a Golden mix. Her facial features are very much a Golden. Housetrained, well mannered, understands the basics of sit, no. Rides in the car like a dream and didn't fight her bath today.
Brooke's reason for being surrendered is because she is a runner. She was adopted last December from a local animal shelter so we are unsure of her long term history. The family couldn't keep her at home and had a neighbor who was threatening to shoot Brooke if she got into his yard again. For this reason, anyone who adopts Brooke will need to have a physical fence.
You can tell that Brooke comes from a family where she was loved very much. Brooke gets along great with all adults, children, other dogs, and cats (and horses too if you have any). Brooke has been spayed and is UTD on all her shots. She currently has a slight ear infection which is being treated and she will see the vet Tuesday afternoon. We're not sure if she is microchipped. Brooke is a very loving, gentle dog that will do well in a family with children and/or other animals to play with. She seems fine being left in the house without being kenneled and has not been destructive at all.
