Bubba 05-249

Profile

9/11/05: Bubba is a 1 year-old purebred Golden Retriever. He is a big boy with a dark red coat. Bubba is used to kids, cats and other dogs. He loves to run and play especially with his soccer ball. Bubba has only been here since last night, but he is settling in nicely. He has been an outside dog all of his life so he is on a new adventure and seeing what it is like to be a good ol' house dog. He wasn't sure the first time he had to come in from playing, but the second time he came running right in with Gabby and Ruby 05-259. The girls and Bubba have been very busy running and playing since he got here.

Even though Bubba is not technically housebroken, I don't think it will be a tough job to get him to understand what it is all about. Most of the foster dogs I have had in the past that have been outside dogs prefer to go potty outside and have not been hard to housebreak at all. Bubba has not had much obedience training. He does listen well and is food motivated so he will learn quickly.

Bubba is neutered and up-to-date on most of his vaccinations. He will need to be microchipped, get a couple of vaccinations and then he is ready to go.

I am already in love with this dog even though we have had him less than 24 hours. He has a fantastic personality and would be a great therapy dog once he gets some training. Bubba is a wonderful Golden with a super personality. I don't think anyone could ask for a better dog.

Yay for Bubba! Bubba got to go home with his forever family last night. He is one lucky dog, too! Bubba is the best boy ever and it's a good thing he didn't stay here much longer, as he may have never left. I could have adopted him in a quick second... not too many dogs with that kind of disposition come along very often, especially at only one year of age.

Here are some pictures of Bubba with his new blanket that the Girl Scouts made. He carried that around for quite some time last night. There is also a picture with his new mom and dad, Eileen and Casey. "Thank You" to both of you for adopting Bubba and giving him such a wonderful home.
