Buddha was adopted today! The S family who he met at the picnic made the trip down to Iowa even with all the flooding in Minnesota to come see this guy. He will have a new sister Penny, a mom and a dad and a human brother. I am sad to have him leave but I know he will be so happy with his new family.

Buddha had so much fun meeting people at the picnic this weekend. He loved seeing all of the dogs, getting pets from all the people, and sampling some of the cuisine available. He loved the meat and turkey from the Club Wrap that was served. His only regret was that he wasn’t able to swim because his neuter site is still healing. Afterwards he got to head over to the UMGDR picnic to meet some Great Danes. At first it was hard to get him out of the car because he was so tired after his big day at the RAGOM picnic, but once he saw all the other dogs he really wanted to have some play time.
He continues to do so well in our home. We started allowing him free access to the kitchen and living room today and he did wonderful. He was alone for about 3 hours at a time today and did just fine. No accidents and nothing out of place. He is such a good boy! We will be continuing to up his time alone this week to see how he does. He has also started playing with my two residents. He has tried many times before today but the girls were just not interested. Today he played with both the resident Golden, Dutchess and our spaniel mix, Mia. I was pretty impressed that he got Mia to play with him as the only dog that I have ever really seen her play with is her sister Dutchess. He loves to play fetch with the stuffies, tug of war with Dutchess, and chew on his nylabones.
Here are some pictures from this weekend at our home and at the picnic.
