Buddy came into foster on 12/10/10 from Monona, Iowa. He is a 5 year old GR/Husky mix, neutered, who weighs approx. 50-60 lbs. SO states his vaccinations are UTD and his rabies tag has been lost. Not micro chipped. Buddy is reddish in color with a lighter underside. His one eye is blue and the other eye is blue and brown. He is good with other dogs (lives with a lab mix) and loves car rides. Buddy is house trained and unknown if he is crate trained. He has no separation or storm anxieties. Buddy is not on H/W or flea/tick preventative. Buddy has been an indoor dog at some time in the past, but is currently an outdoor dog. Buddy is not aggressive with people or dogs and does not resource guard with people. Buddy is being surrendered because he nipped one of the young boys in the family. There was no broken skin and no medical care of any kind required. This has happened a couple of times when Buddy is chained. The husband was going to take Buddy out and shoot him, but the wife was able to talk him out of doing it and the Humane Society was contacted.. Buddy has been shuffled around for most of his life. SO states he was neutered in Prairie de Chen Wisconsin. Buddy had extreme difficulty getting up out of a sitting position when it was time to get in the car. Back end appears to be very weak. Buddy taken to Vet for exam. Buddy is Lyme’s disease positive and 8-10 lbs. underweight and had a septic tumor on his groin area. Surgery took place on 12/15/10 for removal of tumor. Stitches were removed on 12/24/10.
