Buddy 11-029

Profile

It's my pleasure to introduce Buddy. He has only recently arrived at our home so we are still getting acquainted. His family loved him but felt he needed a home that could give him more time and attention. He was mostly an outdoor dog and had recently decided that he didn't want to stay within his underground fence. Once he gets his vet check up and he learns about living inside I will have more to tell.

What I can tell everyone is that he is 7 years old, dark golden in color with a blocky head. Enjoys ear rubs and tummy skritches.

My husband and I have decided to become Buddy's forever family. He is such a wonderful boy and a perfect fit into our family.

Our 5 grandsons adore him as well as the rest of the family. Our golden Boone and Buddy are the best of friends, playing and resting together throughout the day. Buddy makes our pack seem a little more complete. Thank you to his previous family for allowing RAGOM to find him a home. Thank you also to RAGOM and all the volunteers who help dogs like Buddy find their forever homes.

Buddy has been with us for two weeks now and is really taking to the indoor life. The first couple of days he was unsure what to do inside but now he wants right back in as soon as he is done with his business. Only 1 accident in the house and that was within a short time after he arrived here(more my fault than his). One of Buddy's best attributes is his golden temperament, nothing makes him upset or scares him. He loves our grandchildren and wanted to sleep with them while they spent the night. Since he is still not completely trustworthy when left alone he gets to spend nights in his crate. He would much rather snuggle on the couch or bed but accepts his fate with only an occasional bark. Things that Buddy is working on....no jumping when he gets really excited, giving others personal space, remembering that food on the counter is not his. A work in progress....but then again aren't we all  :-)
