Hi Everybody,
I noticed my Fostermom hasn't sent in an update in awhile, so I better take over this job! What have I been up to lately? Well, I haven't had the opportunity to do any counter-surfing! I know, isn't that horrible?!? They now put up a baby gate when they go to work, so I can't even get in the kitchen. Darn it. So, now I spend my days relaxed on the couch. Did I mention that I love laying on the couch? It's soo comfy. I enjoy being able to live indoors this winter----first time ever! In my previous life (before RAGOM) I was an "outdoor" dog tied up to a tree. It was dreadfully boring and got pretty cold at night. Not any more!
I have been exercising quite a bit! My fostermom and dad are runners and they take Winston and I running 3-4 days a week. My longest run is 5 miles! Pretty good for an "old" guy! I actually really love running! It's very invigorating, especially at 5:30 in the morning when it's really cold out. I haven't gained any weight, but everybody thinks I don't look soo skinny. I think I've put on some muscle.
I've gone to some RAGOM events recently and met lots of people and other dogs. I like to bark when I see all the dogs. Normally, I'm not a barker, but when I want attention at these events, all I have to do is let out one of my really low and loud barks-----that makes everybody turn around and look at me :) They can't believe I'm a RAGOM dog. Would you believe some people even ask if I'm a Golden! Haha! My mom says I'm golden in personality and deserve a forever family as much as the "real" Goldens do.
Christmas is right around the corner and I wish my forever family would find me. I keep looking and I know they're all there somewhere.......I just need to be patient. I don't need a lot.....just attention, daily exercise (walks or run), and lots of love. My mom thinks I'd be best in a family as an only dog.....I love hogging all the attention, plus I really never learned how to play with another dog, so I'm never quite sure what Winston actually wants to do when he runs around the yard. Also, I may be 10 years old, but everybody, and I mean everybody, can't believe it. I act a lot younger and have the energy of a dog half my age. I'm super healthy; I have some age bumps, but we all get those when we are seniors. My teeth are excellent and I love chewing on nylabones, so they will stay nice and pretty for a long time. I eat about 4 cups of food a day---my mom says that's a lot, but she found that Cosco has a high quality, nutritious food that's not very expensive---good thing, because I like to eat :)
Well, I'm going to sign off now. Enjoy the pictures I've attached! My mom keeps trying to get pictures of me with these dumb antlers on, Happy Holidays!
