Hello RAGOM!

I have arrived safely at my first foster home!  It was a long journey, but I’ve been telling foster mom about all the good treats our drivers had for us…and the good buddies I met in the van on the way north.  It was a good trip.

Foster mom has already given me a good brushing – I was shedding some.  I liked the brushing a lot!  I kept getting closer and closer to her and snuggling whenever I could.  She didn’t get a lot of fur off me, but it just felt good to be loved.

Molly and Wilbur – my resident dog siblings – are really nice!  We have been playing and wrestling around the house!  Mom says I must be happy to be home after the trip!  I sure am!  I even saw there are a couple of resident cats here…I looked but wasn’t very interested in pursuing a relationship at this time.  In fact, there is also a resident bunny in a cage and while it is mildly interesting to look at, I don’t really want to play…or chase…or anything like that.  I am very happy just sticking by Mom today  J

I’ll send a picture soon – as soon as I unpack and get settled.

Have a great day!

Charlie is doing well and has started to pack his bags as he is going home tomorrow!  He had a bath and is brushed and all groomed.  He is such a good little guy and we have enjoyed having him here.

Enjoy a couple more pictures of Charlie and his foster family.

Charlie has moved to his new foster home.  Thank you to his first foster for taking care of him for the first week!

Charlie is just a doll!  I have to keep reminding myself that he is not a puppy because he is so darn little.  He weighs 37 pounds and looks like a minature Golden Retriever.  Charlie stays pretty close to FM, although today he is wandering about the house more.  He slept in his crate last night and after a few minutes of whining he realized that I was not going to let him out and settled down.  He slept on his back with his legs straight up in the air!  He even slept through the 4:00 am potty break for Miss Cady 08-433.

Charlie has a very sweet demeanor.  He is just so gentle.  This little guy was a stray and came all the way up here frorm Tennessee.  So that means that this sweetie has never seen snow.  I can't wait until he sees snow!  How fun will that be for him!

Thank you for reading up on our little Charlie.  Enjoy the new pictures!

Hi RAGOM!

As promised - foster mom and I had a photo shoot today. I'm a little camera shy, so there weren't too many that were worthy of publication, but I gave her a few of my pearly whites!

I must tell you that, although I look fantastically like a large and robust golden retriever, alas, I am a little smaller than most (about 35 pounds). HOWEVER, my personality is sweet, golden and loyal. I am compactly, beautifully, and wonderfully sweet. Just ask me!

I have not had an accident in the house. I know what the back yard is for.

I sleep through the night protecting my human foster sister - I stay glued to the side of her bed in case any monsters try to creep out from under.

I do not bark - even when my foster fur siblings try to go crazy when they hear someone outside - I just listen and let them look silly!

I LOVE to nestle under the desk when foster Mom is working at the computer (I am dictating to her from under the desk at this moment!).

We had a thunderstorm roll through last night and my foster family was a little worried I might be scared. Nope, not me! I was true to my human and stayed just as calm as could be - after all I'm here to keep HER safeJ

I must tell you though, with all those wonderful things about me, you must be asking, is he just perfect, or what?!?! Well, okay, I do like to put my front paws on my humans. I think I am looking for a little reassurance now and then - just to make sure they are going to stay with me. I know I can learn to trust you quickly and with a little training, I will learn to wait for you to come down to my level for love. I also need to learn your language when it comes to "come" and "sit" and stuff like that. It won't take me long to learn your language - especially if you have a treat in your hand and love in your voice. I am all about love...and hugs...and snuggles.

That is all for tonight. Human sister has gone to bed and I need to get to her bedside.

Have a golden day everyone!
Charlie

p.s. In one of the photos, I am lying next to a pair of size 9 women's shoes - that might give you a better idea of my size...compactly beautiful! You should feel my soft fur!:) Love ya'!
