Hi friends!
It has been just over two weeks since I came to live with my foster family, and every day I learn something new! I love to love on my foster parents and love when they hold me like a big baby. I love to snuggle with them and it makes me happy when they give me hugs and kisses.
I am also really starting to love my foster sister, Mila, and need to remind you that it's very important my forever home has a dog to continue to help me learn and grow. As an update on that, this dog ideally should be under 5 years of age so they can match my energy level.
This dog ideally will also be a larger breed dog, similar to my foster sister, Mila.
My potty training is still a work in progress, but I am definitely learning and getting better at not having accidents in the house. Today my foster parents bought a bell to hang on the door to start training me to ring that when I have to go potty - we will see how that works!
Last night my foster parents let me sleep in their bedroom for the first time and not in my crate because I bark a lot at night in my crate and they say it keeps them awake at night. I did really well in their bedroom and didn't have any accidents.
I slept on the floor and was a good boy, so hopefully we can do that again, because I like that way better than my crate.
I've been going on lots of walks which I love and do really good on my leash. I love to walk right beside my foster sister and follow her around. She teaches me a lot.
My foster parents absolutely love me and say I have all the amazing golden retriever qualities. I often get compliments on my beautiful coat and markings. I got a bath at Stone Mountain Pet Lodge on Friday and when my foster mom picked me up she said I was SO soft and smelled so good. I love baths!
My only flaw is that I like to bark when I hear noises or see shadows that startle me (including my own). I also bark when I see strangers outside, but my foster parents think I'll learn to grow out of that. I want to remind you that because of this, it's very important that my forever home is patient with me as I work out these quirks.
Overall, life is good. I love to nap on the couch, I love to eat and love treats. I LOVE tennis balls, they are my favorite. My foster family also has a TON of bones for me to chew on which I also love.

My name is Carson! I am a sweet, loving, happy boy who came into RAGOM from a commercial breeder before meeting my foster parents and sister, Mila. I am 6 months old and full of life and lots and lots of love to give.
I went to the vet this weekend and got caught up on all my shots! The doctor said I am a healthy boy and she gave me lots of treats, so I think I like it there. Everyone kept saying how cute I was.
I love being outside, especially when I can roll around in the snow. It feels so good! I quickly learned to love being inside my foster home as well.
I was SO confused by those stair things when I first arrived, but now I go up and down them like a pro! My foster house has so many fun toys and balls to play with! I love playing with tennis balls.
The TV really freaked me out at first and I still bark when I hear loud noises come from it, but I'm starting to learn that it isn't going to hurt me. I quickly learned to love my resident dog sister, Mila, after a few days of not being so sure.
I love to play outside with Mila and chase her around. We share toys and lay on the couch next to each other when we nap. Because I learn so much from Mila, my forever home must have a resident dog to continue to be a role model for me.
I am a very good walker on my leash and love to sniff around and explore the outdoors. I quickly learned how to sit and already know my own name! I like to chew on things and collect shoes, but when I hear "no" I usually listen pretty well.
I'm a very smart boy, but I'm still just a puppy and have a lot to learn, so I need my forever home to be very patient and willing to train me. We are still working on my potty training, but I get better every day.
My foster parents say that I pick up on people's emotions very quickly, and that I just want to please everyone and give kisses.
I haven't met or been around any kids yet, but my foster parents are confident that I will have no issue with them because I am such a lover. I am 49 lbs but I have really big paws to fill into, so everyone keeps telling me I'm going to be a big boy!
My forever home needs another medium to large, confident resident dog, loving parents who are willing to be patient with me while I learn and grow, and if possible, a fenced yard. I love to run around and be outside, so that would be ideal for me.
I'm also a big fan of couches, so I hope that's okay with my forever home peeps!
