Cartman 12-060

Profile

Hello! My name is Cartman. I am a 1 1/2 year old golden mix (some believe I'm part Sheppard but there is no record of what I'm mixed with). I am a very healthy, neutered, UTD, micro-chipped 68 lb male with all of my vet records to prove it. Also, my foster took me to the vet where I tested negative for heartworm.

I was surrendered by my owner last September because the landlord did not allow dogs. I went to a shelter and was then enrolled into the Paroled Pups program due to the fact that I need a lot of exercise to burn off my energy. While there, I lived with 8 other dogs and got lots of exercise, training, and attention. This program is in Sioux Falls, SD so I had a long car ride, which I rode very well to my foster parents home in North Branch, MN (5+ hours). I have now been here in their home for 7 days.

The resident dog and I get along very well. We love to play all day long and the FM will actually have to crate us to give us time to relax and take naps. She says that I am very good at sharing everything. I have no food or toy aggression. In truth, I'm not scared of anything. Not even their cats. I really would like to get to know them better, but they keep running away from me and I just can't get to them fast enough. Those two kitties are fast!!! As for the human kids, they are so much fun! They come outside in the cold and play fetch with me. One time when the little boy was not feeling well, I just had to check on him. I really love those kids! My FM says I would be great with a family of all ages and fur. She does correct me here and there but I'm getting better as the days pass.

I am fully house and crate trained. I like to sprawl out on the floor mostly, but if you say it's ok I will cuddle with you on the couch. As for night time I sleep in my kennel (please have a large one for me). FM says I'm also very good outside and I walk nicely with a flat collar and leash. I do need to be reminded to sit first so my mind is open to you and not off wandering. FM also says I would probably need a physical fence or trained to an invisible one, since I have lots of energy and love to explore.

I do have to brag a little and tell you of how cute I am!! My fosters son had some homework rolled up with a rubber band like the newspaper, so I figured I'd pick it up and bring it to my foster parents. They thought I was so cool they had me do it again and again and again until they got a some what of a good picture of me doing it. I would love to show you this trick sometime.

Please, please, please fall in love with me!! I want to share my good nature with you!! Please let your placement advisor know that you want to meet me Cartman 12-060!!! I would love to meet and go home with you!!!
