Casey 06-306

Profile

7/19/06: Say Hello to the very beautiful Casey! He is such a gem, I cannot even explain! Linda was kind enough to bring Casey down from 'up nort' as Casey was previously with another rescue group; however, due to medical reasons in the foster family, Casey was surrendered to RAGOM. Casey had the pleasure of sharing the company of Red 05-182, Sky, Molly, and Charlie Bear for 2 days before we picked him last night. He met Nala and Sue with very little fuss and he and Nala had fun running around Linda's backyard.

A few things we know about him so far is he is so incredibly sweet, he rides really well in the car, he is polite and calm, even though he doesn't know a lot of commands. I am hoping my crew takes some lessons from this young gentleman. He also met Simba 06-223 aka the Wild Man (or as we like to call him, Mr. Frisky Pants) and they got along famously--although Casey had to give him some 'what for' as Mr. Simba, as his nickname suggests, can be a wild child.

Last night he slept through the night, uncrated, and today I left him babygated in the kitchen with some toys and plenty of appropriate chew items, with strict instructions for Nala and Sue to watch over their new foster brother. Today it is very stormy and I do not know how he is with storms, so I am hoping he is okay. I will run home at lunch and check on him.

I will be bringing him to the vet to get updated shots as he has been neutered already. I also am going to make an appointment at the spa to get him a wonderful bath and brushing so he smells as good as he looks! He doesn't smell bad, he just needs some pampering.

This wonderful boy is a dream. He will be available for adoption after his vet appointment, so if you want to meet Mr. Casey, please contact Placement. More to come as we get to know him better.

Casey continues to be the best foster dog ever! I for sure would adopt him if I wasn't already at my dog limit for my town! He is so easy and lovable. I brought him to the vet on Saturday and he is now update on shots and HW negative. He weighs about 60 lbs. and the doc said he is a bit underweight. Yesterday, I brought him to foster training and he was so sweet. I had people tell me that he would be a wonderful candidate for a therapy dog. This boy is going to be so hard to give up- so again, whomever is lucky enough to adopt him, will have to be really special! If you are that special applicant, contact placementatRAGOM [dot] org.

New information: Casey is a runner! It is best he go to a home with a good fence! Probably no small kids--he likes them, but with his running history kids might be prone to leaving gates, doors open, etc.

How much is that doggie in the window? Casey and his buddy Sky.
