Cash 11-337

Profile

Meet Cash! He is one of Hope's 11-318 10 puppies. He is a Golden Retriever/Black Lab cross and is cute as can be! Cash (as in Johnny Cash) is all black... the only in the litter with not a single white marking. He is also the smallest of all the pups... he just finally reached the 2 lb. mark! He was born on Saturday, 9/24 making him 4 weeks old! Cash stands out because of his small size... but he is feisty! He is my sons favorite pup, and I have to say I have a special spot in my heart for him as well. His eyes just melt your heart. He loves to bury his head in your arm or lap and snooze.  The puppies are all thriving! They are busy exploring their world and being cute... which they are very good at! They are also very good at making a mess and making us laugh! They have recently started eating a softened kibble and drinking water from a bowl, in addition to nursing from their mom. The puppiesLOVE to eat. I joke that my foster puppies are very "advanced" for their age..... because they live with a 2 1/2 year old little boy and they want to get the heck outta here :)  Cash has to stay with us and his brothers and sisters (and mama too) for awhile yet... but he is ready to meet that very special family that he will call his own when the time comes. Please let your placement advisor know if you are interested in meeting Cash. Prepare to fall in love! Stay tuned and watch them grow :)  A very special thank you to all of the supporters! So many very generous RAGOM volunteers and other dog lovers have gone above and beyond to make sure they puppies and Hope have everything they need. It takes a village, and we certainly feel the love and appreciate it very, very much!

Cash continues to have the job of being our 2 year olds favorite puppy :) After times the two of them are found off in a corner together just snuggling. It is pretty adorable. Cash doesn't even seem to mind, too much :) Cash isn't the smallest puppy anymore! He is catching up to his siblings... and his ears are catching up with the rest of him! He is so, so CUTE! He has a pretty special personality too, very easy going and sweet at times... and fiesty when he needs to be! Despite Max's (our son) best efforts to conceal him from all of the families that have come to meet and pick out their puppy... A very special family came and decide Cash was meant be be theirs :) We could not be happier for him!! He will have a mom, dad, and two wonderful kids to love him up like crazy! We know Cash will be such a wonderful companion for them :) He will be moving to his new home next week after his neuter surgery. We are very happy and excited for all of them!

The puppies turned 5 weeks old on Saturday! Time sure does fly :) I am happy to report that all 10 pups are happy, healthy, spunky, and pretty much perfect in every way! They are a very social bunch and are lucky enough to interact with a large variety of people of all ages. Giving them a ton of positive interactions with people and my dogs will help them grow to be confident, social and good all around dogs! Any family who adopts one of these beauties will be very lucky and very happy!

The pups were dewormed for the first time early last week. It is extremely common for puppies to have worms so this was not a surprise, nor cause for concern. We picked up the deworming medication and after a few days of passing large amount of worms the puppies are back to feeling good again. We will deworm them again in a week or so, and most likely when they move to their new families they will have one last dose. Speaking of moving to their new families... both Zorro and Mamba are officially "adoption pending"!!! We are very very excited to know that these sweet babes are both going to fantastic homes! As hard as it will be to say goodbye to them when it comes time to move on, we know they will be loved and cherished (and their families have promised to keep us updated with pictures as they grow)! Two other families are coming this weekend to meet the crew... wish the puppies luck as they prepare to charm their forever family! All of the puppies will be making their first trip to the vet on Friday! I will report back after their appointment. We anticipate a good report :) Let's hope foster mom survives the 10 puppy vet trip.... ;) I must send a huge THANK YOU to my fellow RAGOM volunteers for their continued help and support! It would NOT be possible to take this on without you. It means so much!! :) New individual pictures and updates next time! Stay Tuned!
