3/26/07: Hi.  My name is Cecelia.  I just came from a puppy mill in North Dakota to a place in Kasson, MN .  I was born June 25, 2004.  I am very scared.  The place I went to has a dog that seems to like me.  I climbed out of my crate to meet her after she leaned in to say hello.  Everything is very scary and I don’t know what is going to happen.  My friend, the one I was telling you about, has been showing me a few things. She (and my foster mom) coaxed me into the backyard with this big thing around my neck.  I guess it’s called a slip collar and I don’t like it.  I can’t get out of it and I keep stepping on it when I walk.  I finally started carrying it around in my mouth so I could walk around without tripping.  I found the best spot in the yard - I found out it was my friend’s favorite spot too, but she let me have it - I like her.  She does this weird thing where she chases a ball my foster mom throws.  I am very interested in that and have taken a few of the balls to my favorite spot and laid on them, just in case I might want them later.  I was able to lay out in the yard most of the day soaking up the sun.  My foster mom would be petting my friend and I had to check out what the deal was so I snuck over and let her pet me, too.  I liked it, but I kept my tail between my legs and my body couldn’t relax, but later I came back for more!  Later that night, when it was time for bed, my foster mom took off my collar and I decided to get rid of that thing once and for all!  I put it in my friend's kennel - she can have it!  I slept through the night okay, didn’t make any noise, and this morning when my foster mom was getting ready for work, I went around the house and grabbed whatever I could find, stuffed things, dog toys and shoes and piled them in my kennel.  I might want those later, too.  My foster mom caught me and only left me with a few of the dog toys.  Oh well.  They also have this neat thing here, they call it a television and I sure do like to watch it!  I have a blanket that I carry around - I don’t know where to put it yet, but it might have to go to that room with the television!  More later.

It’s CC again. My foster mom shaved all my mats out. It’s kind of embarrassing because now my bottom doesn’t have any hair! I also have bald spots under my ears, but I feel much better. I am ready for the Easter Bunny to come. Maybe he will bring me my new forever family! I am not very scared anymore either. When new people come to the door, I like to check out who it is!

I like to play with my friend, Nana. Sometimes we get too wild and have to go play outside. I like it outside too. There’s a lot of room to play and exercise.

Talk to you soon!
