Champale 04-348

Profile

Champale has arrived safe and sound. She rode very well to her new foster home. You will not believe what a great find she is, her name should be Champagne! She is 7 years old, but has the mind, eyes, and heart of a true youngster. She is AKC registered and has papers for both eyes and hips. She is unaltered and has not been to the vet for a few years. She is scheduled to go in on Friday.

She was introduced to our family last night, including our kids and our 1 year old Lab. All went well. She does like to hoard the toys and it takes a little for her to want to share (with other dogs), but I think that will come when she gets used to us. She has no food aggression towards people and we have not yet tried with other dogs as we just want her to be comfortable here first. Her history includes: Being an outside dog, she has been around cats and she has been with young kids (3yrs).

Last night she slept in the house and so far we have had no accidents. She knows where the doors are and lets us know when she has to go outside...so far, so good! More later as we get to know this fine "bottle of bubbly".

Hey everyone!

It's me, Champale, or "Champy" as I am now called. WOW! Did I have an exciting weekend. Thursday night I had my first bath, it was such fun and I was on my best behavior. Friday I went to the vet, I am the picture of health...can't you tell? No bugs, worms, viruses, or anything else. I am now UTD on all my shots. Even my teeth look good, but what else can you expect from a girl that could be Queen. I am scheduled to get spayed next Friday. No worries there through! Then on Friday, we took a long car ride (3hrs) to see my foster Grandparents. They were really neat people.

I love to meet new people! I can't say too much about their dog though, or any of the other dogs down south, I guess I am just too choosy when it comes to making new friends. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love my foster sister Hanna, she is a female Lab. We jump and play all the time. The only time I get crabby is when we have toys. By default all toys are mine and I will not share..but when you're the Queen, you do not have to...right? My fosters say we will work on that.

I have not had any accidents yet in the house or in the car. I would like to go to a home that does not have other dogs so that I can be the center of your world. I have been left alone for about 1 hour so far and do not whine or bark. My fosters go to work on Monday so we will see how I do in my crate for four hours. I will be fine. I enjoy being outside. Anything that runs will get a good chase out of me. My fosters do not have a fenced yard, but they think I would really like one. They take me for walks and I pull very little.

I have included another picture for you. Here you see me posing with my legs crossed. I often do this and say a quiet word of thanks to the "Big Dog" for the good life I have had, and the better life that I am really enjoying now. Talk to you later!
