Charlie 11-082

Profile

Charlie is a 1 year old, male, Golden Retriever who is being fostered in White Bear Lake, Mn. He was surrendered after a difficult decision by his previous owner. This owner had him since he was four months old and initially he was skittish, but had made good progress. He was good with children, potty trained, and good with other dogs. He had a fear of cars and difficulty greeting strangers. He was an energetic wonderful companion.

Presently, Charlie is a loving dog who provides kisses when you would like them. He is very active and playful with our resident dogs Maggie and Franklin. He quickly was trained and adapted to his crate. He is still fearful of cars but we are working on this. He is guarded around strangers but is improving and does take risks of taking treats from them. He does well walking on a leash and is happy to greet other dogs on his walk. He does some barking in the yard but does stop when he gets the command to do so. Charlie knows how to sit and is learning to heel and he does not counter surf. His shots are all up to date and he was just neutered and hasn't had any accidents in the house. He has become very comfortable and affectionate with us and will be a great loving and loyal pet for someone with a little patience and ability to train him in a few areas of weakness. Charlie is definitely a keeper.
