Charlie 12-283

Profile

August 5, 2012

Foster Dad will let the pictures do most of the talking. Charlie arrived today in Cedar Rapids, IA. Charlie is 5-1/2 years old, male, neutered, UTD, and a GReat dog! Charlie comes from a very loving family who unfortunately had some allergy problems. Charlie sees the vet next Tuesday, but it will only be for a RAGOM general examination, checking vitals, getting current weight, fecal and blood test, and receiving his microchip, since he had already received the best of care. He is also just recently groomed.

Charlie has a larger frame and is bigger (90-100#) than most goldens. He is medium in color. Charlie has 4 long legs, 2 dark brown eyes, and 1 large loving golden retriever heart. More to follow after his vet appointment.

Charlie was adopted this afternoon by the DR family - it was a great match with Bonkers!

Charlie was such a perfect pooch at the vet office today! There was  little to be done since he had been receiving excellent care before   coming into a foster home. Charlie got the RAGOM general physical, needing only to be micro-chipped and a fecal test. No shots or blood test needed since he was already UTD.

Charlie has shed a quite a few pounds since December when he   weighed in at 101. With regular walking and a high quality food diet, he now tips the scales at 87-1/2 pounds and looks very healthy and carries his weight   well on a larger frame.

He seems to have taken a special liking to our 27 year old son who lives with us and prefers sleeping in his bedroom instead of ours. Maybe our son does not snore as much or as loud as I do!

Charlie is also a GReat car rider, preferring to sit in the back seat instead of his body stuck halfway out the window. He is totally house-broken, has free roam, but needs some work on the basic commands. He also has a tendency to drool on occasion, but not often and not heavily.
