Charlie came into RAGOM through a humane society. Despite his ear infections and severe dental issues, Charlie is a happy boy who loves everyone he meets. He can live with other dogs and cats. Due to his large size, Charlie would do best in a home with older children (10+). A physical fence is optional as long as a solid plan is in place to keep him safe.

Charlie has found his forever home! He has another dog his same age who needs a confident dog to be his mentor to make him feel safe and protected. Charlie will do a great job. He'll also have a crabby old cat to keep him on the straight and narrow. His mom and dad are retired and can give Charlie the love and attention he needs and deserves. Have a great and Golden life, Charlie!

Please welcome Charlie to RAGOM. This big guy arrived at our house with a couple of medical issues that might have made another dog a bit crabby. Not Charlie; he walked in the door with a big smile on his face, came right up for pets, met our dogs and our old cat with polite interest, and just made himself at home.

Charlie was dropped off at the night drop door (no questions asked) of a humane society. He had two bad ear infections and what appeared to be a number of infected teeth. The humane society reached out to RAGOM as they weren't in a position to foot some big medical bills.

Up to this point, we are concentrating on taking care of the medical issues. The ear infections are under control, and we were able to get Charlie in for surgery for his mouth. Five teeth in all were extracted, including both of his big lower incisors. As he is recovering, we're starting to get to know him better and will be able to tell you more about his personality as he recovers from the surgery.

We already know that he is a lover! He loves people, dogs, and cats; even the squirrels and chipmunks running around our deck don't bother him. He loves to take walks. We've kept the walks down to short distances so far, but he he walks great on a leash.

More to come as we learn more.
