5/5/06: Charlie has arrived in Ames. He is beautiful light colored Golden boy. His hair is very short but will be beautiful when it grows out. He is rather round but quite the lover. He wants to be near me all the time but is usually very polite about it. He is interested in the cats but doesn't hurt them. He is getting along OK with my dogs. He is very unsure right now. It sounds like he has changed homes several times in his life and it is difficult for him to trust people. The word was that he had infected ears. I cleaned them out and they seem to be OK, just a little dirt. He will be visiting the vet next week to get checked out for his seizures. He is really sweet and seems to know a few basic commands. He will be an excellent addition to a family. We will write more after we have all gotten to know each other better.
