Charlie (Einstein 07-376)

Profile

Meet Einstein!  He is a sweet and shy Golden Lab mix.  Our best guess is that he is 6 months old. He was found as a stray with his sister, Panora 07-375, in Iowa, I don't have a photo to add today, but you can take a look at  Panora #07-375, add a red collar - that's Einstein.  He seems to be a little more white than his sister and his right ear has more gold then his left!!!  Too cute to believe!!!  He is small--I can't imagine he weighs much more than 30 pounds and you can feel all his ribs and hip point bones.  We are working on putting some weight on him and showing him all of the joys of being a loved RAGOM dog!

He is a little timid around people, but as soon as our cat came to meet him his ears perked up and his tail started wagging for the first time.  Then the cat tried to catch his tail and the two were off getting to know each other.  Whenever the cat comes around Einstein is up and looking to play.  He is still backs away when humans walk toward him, but if you turn around to leave the room, he is soon up and following you to find out where you have gone.  Right now he is laying at my feet under my desk.

He met one neighbor dog yesterday.  Einstein  was so excited he could barely keep his feet on the ground.  He has the cutest puppy dance!  And is truely overjoyed to be around other dogs.  He also went for a walk around the block Monday night.  Big improvement from not wanting to move after his leash was clicked on on Sunday.

Sunday evening I was in the back yard with Einstein, it was around 10 pm.  Neighbors had been shooting off fireworks and I think he was curious to check it out.  Soon the sky lit white - like one of those big boom fireworks- sure enough, big boom - I jumped a little, Einstein looked over his left shoulder - the direction of the noise, and went back to sniffing the ground.   Fireworks don't seem to bother him.

He is a wonderful dog.
