Charlie went to the vet today and he is completely up to date. I learned that he did not seem real familiar with riding in the front seat of a truck but did a good job and enjoyed it. Now we know that he weighs about 55 pounds, which is more than I guessed. Charlie continues to be a good housedog and he is getting better all of the time. Some of the people in his fan club have commented on his tongue. Yes, it is really long and it is always hanging out of the side of his mouth :-)

Charlie has been here for a few days now and has been a joy to have around. He and Pepper are constantly playing – a tired puppy is a good puppy! My 14-year-old cat Bonnie approves of Charlie and has even eaten at the same bowl as him. He is very gentle, affectionate and easy going. I had no problem with any of the grooming I have done to him and he walks fairly well on a leash. Charlie’s training and behavior is not quite where it should be for an 11-month-old pup; he does counter surf, tries to get in the trash and will play with or chew on inappropriate items if left unsupervised. I like to give him plenty of playtime in the backyard with Pepper. Charlie is a very fast and agile runner; it makes me tired just to watch him.
