Chaz 06-207

Profile

5/7/06: I am proud to announce that Mr. Chaz has made it to Apple Valley along with his 4 other brothers. Chaz a little over 6 weeks old and will be ready to go to his forever home over Memorial Day weekend. However, he would LOVE to start meeting potential homes right away.

What we know about Chaz is limited. We were told both parents are purebred Goldens, but the litter was unplanned and they don't want the puppies. Therefore, he was turned over to a shelter on Saturday afternoon, he was processed and then given to RAGOM since he is so young and needed a lot of love and a germ free environment to get him through the trauma of being taken away from mom so early. So RAGOM did not allow Chaz or his brothers to stay any longer than they had to! The next stop would be to Aunt Steffanie?s house ? she was good enough to keep them Saturday night so my family could take a much needed night off from all dogs, we did not even bring the Newfoundland?s on our overnight excursion.

Of course by the time Sunday morning hit, Lindsey and I could hardly wait to get our hands on the furrbutt boys so we left the Rick?s (hubby and son) to do some more dirt bike riding and packing up the cabin. We met Aunt Steffanie and started home for the meet and great ? The Newf?s were wondering what I had done this time!

Now about Chaz....he weighs about 8 pounds, is medium blonde in color and we have no idea about his personality yet. But I am sure you will get daily updates along with pictures, so you can get a better idea what Chaz is all about. Chaz has a bad case of worms and fleas, which we are treating.

If you are at all interested in meeting this wonderful little boy and have been approved please send an email to placementatragom [dot] org. If you are not approved ? send in an application so we can get this little boy into your home in a couple of weeks.

Hey, Chaz here....foster Mom keeps saying I am a little spit fire, but what I am is a fun loving guy looking for a good time. Okay, according to Mom I am looking to get into trouble so now we have started something called training. I am not real sure what that means except I get a lot of “cookies”.

I already know you are supposed to go outside to go potty, but sometimes I go right in front of them. Hey, I figure it’s their fault if they don’t see me doing my potty dance and act fast enough.

Shoot, here comes foster Mom, now I have to let her talk - she does that a lot.

Chaz is doing wonderfully. Chaz will need a family that will keep him active in daily life because when he gets bored, he gets into trouble. But than again, most pups do. I have found that when Chaz starts acting up, we go outside and run and play for about 10 minutes and he will then settle down again. He is very mouthy right now so we are working very hard on redirecting that. I just think that is one of those good ol' Golden traits that he definitely has.

Chaz still loves small places and can find the smallest of them to sleep in. He also loves to go up and down in an obstacle course type setting. I think he proves this daily around the grill. He goes under and over and in-between and every other possible way. Oh yes, plus he thinks the tires are tasty!

Chaz is still available and if you have a soft spot for the fun loving eye liner guy (yes, he looks like he has black eye liner around his eyes) then I have the guy for you and he is available to meet you at any given moment.

Chaz continues to think that everyone should play with him, even if it is in the middle of the night. As you can imagine, I am not thrilled with that idea. Chaz just thinks the world of running around outside in the front yard. Two times a day we go out and play, puppy, puppy, puppy. Okay, all that game is, we walk fast and say puppy, puppy, puppy and they follow and chase us. They love it and we look funny. Chaz is always the first to be there and ready for action. He was also the first to take to the hill and figure that out.

Chaz is ready for his new home and hopes you will come and visit. Chaz is such a character and is always trying to get everyone to play. He loves being active and he loves to sleep even harder. He is doing just fine after his vet visit last night. He was the guy who slept most of the night without any problems. I wish they were all like him. For some reason, Chaz feels the baskets are the best place to try and sleep, even if you don’t fit in the toy basket! Weird.

Chaz, believe it or not (I could not), is the second to largest and weighed in at 9.1 pounds! He was de-wormed for three types of worms, micro chipped and received his first set of shots. He has not been coughing up any worms, so I think he had a nice mild case - thankfully someone did!

Chaz is such a character and I know you will enjoy his company. Chaz is my little sleeper, however he feels the playpen is not the place to do that - he would rather be out on the deck where the wind can blow through his light blonde fur. Chaz is so darn cute! He is wearing a purple collar and my son told me that was so cruel. Sorry Chaz, but you really are cute.

Chaz is the first one to curl up on Lindsey’s lap and would not leave her all day. Yep, Chaz has hit it big on her #1 list! Chaz will get a glowing review at the vet tomorrow except for a few worms, but medication will clear that right up.
