Chester 06-249

Profile

7/7/06: Meet Chester - the 6 year old purebred Golden Retriever. After a visit to the doggie spa (bath, brush, clipped toenails) he is looking very handsome! Chester is very playful, obedient, and loves to have his belly rubbed. He lived with Benji (06-250) the Golden/Cocker mix, but seems to be adjusting okay without his playmate around. Look for more updates soon!

Chester has moved onto the next adventure in his life – he was adopted today! He is going to a great home where he will be getting spoiled with lots of love and attention. His forever family has a lot of kids that are so excited about their new pet! Congratulations Chester, we know you’ll be happy there!

Chester went to the vet today and is now up-to-date on all of his vaccinations. They were joking that he was a ‘pin cushion’ today because of all of the shots he needed (he hadn’t been to the vet for a while!). Ches did a great job and was rewarded with lots of special treats from the doctor.

Chester is 5 years old, weighs about 75 pounds, and has lived with the same family since he was a puppy. Chester will do well with other dogs (he grew up with Benji 06-250) and cats. He doesn’t chew on any inappropriate items and so far he hasn’t caused any problems around the house.

Chester needs someone to look after him and give him the love and attention that he deserves. He is also looking for someone to take him out for regular exercise (the vet recommended that he lose about 5 pounds). Chester didn’t have the chance to go for many walks or runs in the past few months. If he doesn’t get exercise you can tell, because he tries to escape out the door, but after we took him for a 2 mile run he has been very calm.

Chester will get his test results from the vet on Tuesday and if he has a clean bill of health he will be looking for his forever home. Email placementatragom [dot] org if you are interested in meeting Ches.
