4/13/06: Welcome "Chica Belle of Holly" (full AKC name) to the Twin Cities! Chica came from Northern MN this week with her brothers Merlin and Willy also featured on this page. She is 6 years old and a beautiful red, weighing in at 54 pounds. She's a petite little girl who is as shy yet friendly as can be. She was trained as a hunter and is great with all whistle and verbal commands. She also loves to ride in the car. The daughter said she hunted in Iowa so she is used to long car rides. The man who surrendered these sweeties had to be placed in a nursing home and all of the dogs were treated kindly and with great care. Chica did have a litter of 10 puppies last June and now she will be getting spayed on Friday 4-15-06. She comes with AKC papers and all of her vaccs up to date. She is one of the most laid back dogs I have encountered. She would be great with young children for a family looking for a gentle spirit. So far she even is ignoring the house cat! She loves to snuggle but will go find a cool place to lie down too, unlike most Goldens I know who are always at your feet needing love. Hurry up and express interest in this girl, she will go fast!
