Hi everybody!
My name is Chief and I am one of the newest kids on the block in RAGOM. I am a soft, cuddly Goldendoodle that loves belly rubs. I am currently two years old, house trained, neutered, and also crate trained. I am in good physical shape at 77.6 pounds, I have no medical issues at this time, and I am up to date on all my vaccinations.
I do not have any anxieties to loud noises such as motorcycles or storms. In fact, the first week I arrived in foster care it stormed for three days straight, and I slept right through all the storms. I also do not have any separation anxiety. I love to share my toys and do not resource guard my food either.
I did not receive training in my early years, but I am making up for that now. I am a quick learner and also very food motivated. I am learning that I cannot jump up on everyone I meet, but instead I must learn to sit first. Due to my weight, size, and the fact that I am very jumpy right now, it is best that I go to a home with older, dog savvy children.
My forever home will need to be committed to continue training me as I am very jumpy and can easily knock someone down due to my size. Check out my really long legs!
I thoroughly enjoy walking every day with a Gentle Leader. I used to pull and pull and pull on walks, but now I know I can't do that and the leash needs to stay loose.
If you have another dog in your home, they must be young and playful because I tend to bounce around plenty when I play with other dogs. I play well with all dogs no matter what sex or size they are. I have been attending doggy daycare weekly and I really enjoy that place!
Any family that adopts me needs to know that I love to chew on socks. I also like to surf for food on the counter since my nose is right at that height. I am learning the commands "leave it," "drop it" and "off" to help me correct these naughty behaviors.
I am a little scared of a few noises I am hearing from newly living inside a home such as toast popping up out of a toaster, the computer printer spitting out a piece of paper, the garbage disposal running, or popcorn popping. I can be startled at first; however, I am learning now to investigate the noises since I am hearing them more often.
Please stay tuned for more updates on new and fun things that I am learning!
