Chloe (Cloee 09-193)

Profile

Cloee is a sweet, sweet, SWEET 4  year old golden retriever mix.  She weighs about 39 pounds so she is a petite little thing!  Before I tell you anything else about Cloee, I just want to thank all of the WONDERFUL transporters that transported this girl all the way from ALABAMA!!  Thank you so much for bringing Cloee to us!

Cloee is simply wonderful.  We have only had her for a few hours, but I am in love!!!  This seems to be a PERFECT dog.  She is so cuddly!  She follows me around from room to room and her tail is always wagging.  She has the sweetest little smile.  She also seems to be housetrained.  She knows to do her business outside and did both immediately upon getting here.

She is a mellow girl with a playful side.  She loves to play with her transport dog buddy Bear and she will get down on her front two paws all ready to play.  This girl could sit nicely for hours and be pet.   She sits very nicely and comes when her name is called.  After coming from Alabama we know she rides well in the car.  Cloee is well socialized and loves other dogs.  Kid tested and approved and she is so fun!!!    She doesn't seem to bark and she walk well on a leash.

I love as soon as I walk into a room, Cloee's tail starts thumping!  I also absolutely love her white feet and the spot of white on her chest, her cute little ears and her bushy tail!!  This girl is one of a kind!!  Speaking of one of a kind,  I almost forgot to tell you the most adorable thing she does.  She can walk towards you on her back two legs!!  I tried to catch it on camera but it did not do justice!  I should also mentioned that she does sometimes like to get on two legs and lean into you sometimes when you are standing.  She is very gentle with it.

The owner that surrendered her was moving, so he could not keep her.  It is very clear that she come from a very loved home.

We have a vet visit tomorrow, so I will update you more after the vet.  I think that's all I have for tonight!  Thanks for reading about this dear, sweet, gorgeous girl!!

Hi Everyone!

Just wanted to send an update about our girl Chloe.  (We asked her if we could change the spelling of her name, and she said she didn't mind.)

We LOVE this girl, and she already has both of us wrapped around her finger...or maybe it's her smile and happy tail that did it.  We've already given her the nickname Thumper because that tail is almost constantly wagging and thumping against the floor, wall, or whatever else she can bang on.  :)

The other night we were watching a movie and she came up to the couch and put her head on Nate's knee.  He turned to me and said "Maybe we should go down on the floor by her?"  So that's exactly what we did.  She started by just placing her head on his lap, but by the end of the film, she had the whole half-front of her cuddle up in his lap!  Such a little lover!

We can tell she's getting more and more comfortable with us, and we look forward to watching her continue to blossom.  She's an amazing doggy, and has already added so much joy to our lives.  Right now she's in bed with Dad, keeping his feet warm until he decides to get up for the day.  And she gave me her first kiss on the face this morning.  Love that.

Here's a video I put together of her.

Our Chloe Girl!.

THANK YOU to each and every one of the RAGOM volunteers who helped give this girl a fresh start at life!  You make all the difference, and she (and we) are forever grateful.  XOXO!

Cloee, dear sweet Cloee.  OK, I have had some really, really easy fosters but this one takes the cake.  It is like she has been here forever.  She always stays very close to my husband or I in the yard.  She is content to just sit on the deck with us and hang out.  This is one mellow girl!!  She isn't much into toys or bones.  Just relaxing and getting her pets.  We did learn recently that she has to have some border collie or terrier in her or something because we went to a very large yard and she was just doing circles!  She was fast!  It was like she was trying to herd us in.  Also on walks she likes to make sure we are all staying together.

She seems a little timid when meeting new dogs, big or small, like she doesn't quite know what to do with these dogs that are getting right in her face.  So she usually just stands quietly and lets them sniff.  She follows our resident around.  When our resident goes through the screen door to come inside she is right behind,  Cloee also seems to have really taken a liking to my husband.  It is crazy how much she loves him.  When we go upstairs to go to bed, he is usually the last one up, and she has to wait for him.  He is usually the last one up in the morning also, and this morning she didn't want to come down without him.  Not sure if that is back to the herding thing BUT when he was in the garage today she just sat by the garage door wanting to be with him.

This girl is seriously amazing.  She is the sweetest, most gentle dog I have ever met.  Anyone that is not interested in this wonderful girl is really, really, missing out.  If you want to meet her, contact your placement advisor.

Ok, every single second I am falling more and more in love with this girl.  She is simply one of the sweetest fosters I have ever had.  She is a little thing that will actually fit on my lap and will let me pet her for as long as I want watching TV.  She literally brings me tears of joy when I think about her.  I really have to get a picture of her walking on two legs.  The other day we went for a walk and my husband came running to catch up with us.  She was standing next to me and suddenly as he got closer she was up on 2 legs walking towards him.  It was incredible.  It really leaves me speechless.  He then goes to her and they do a little dance.  I love her!  Love her!!

She is great on walks. Very conscientious about where I am.  When she gets ahead as soon as she is at the end of the leash and feels the tiniest tug she comes right back to heeling with me.  She goes into her crate during the day even though she would be just fine with free roam.  At night she is just an angel.  No hurry to let her out.  She just sits and patiently waits.

I think she looks a little like Kermit the Frog with her big smile.  I know I mentioned her hugs.  She is amazing.  You just have to stand in front of her with your arms at your sides and she will look at you and give you a big hug.  It is priceless.  She is amazing.  Always smiling and her tail is always wagging.  She may not be purebred, but she has the golden temperament and more.  I am going to have such a hard time letting this precious one go.  Don't let the fact she is a mix get in the way of finding the most wonderful dog.
