Chloe (Connie 01-344)

Profile

Connecticut 01-344 is the smallest pup in size, but biggest in personality. She is not one bit afraid to play with the big boys, even though they are eight times her size! She is a sunny, happy little pup who needs another dog to play with her when her humans are away. She is not afraid to be alone, but really prefers to be cuddled whenever there is a chance. Connie came into our house very thin, and with a slight limp and swelling on the knee of her left rear leg. We took x-rays, and nothing out of the ordinary was found. After a week of good nutrition and play, there is no evidence of any problem. She is one sweet little lovebug.

Connie is one of the nine pups from Brainerd...

These littermates are 12 weeks old and looking for their forever homes.

They are plump, cuddly and cute as can be. They are very kid friendly and they like adults too.

We lost my constant companion of more than 10 years on February 18, 2012. She came to us as Connie but we called her Chloe. She bonded immediately with our 18 month Golden, Lexie, and they were best of friends up to Chloe’s passing. Lexie had epilepsy and Chloe alerted us to her seizures and comforted her when she struggled with the after affects.

Chloe was always the strong one so it was devastating to find out in August of 2011 that she had lung cancer. She had a lobe of her lung removed successfully and we thought we were on a good path to healing. However, two months later she developed bloat. We caught it in time, had surgery and she seemed to be back to her old self in no time. These traumas took their toll and Chloe developed a second round of bloat. Our wonderful vets did what they could but Chloe passed from our lives the next day.

Lexie misses her little sister terribly, as do we. I work from home and Chloe was rarely farther than an arm length from my side. The house is much too quiet these days but the joy she brought to our lives will live in us until the day we are reunited.
