Clarence just turned 9 weeks old and is a very smart little guy who learns very quickly. He sleeps through the night and barks when he awakes in the morning to let you know it is time to go outside and go to the bathroom. He stays dry through the night most of the time. He still has a few accidents during the day, however, but is quickly picking up on the training. He will require his new home to be diligent in watching for signals and taking him out and rewarding him when he goes potty outside. He's a quick learner and should have it down pat in no time!
Clarence tends to get very wound up when confronted with new situations or if there is a lot of noise â chewing anything and everything he can get ahold of. I have noticed a decrease in his agitation as he settles into a familiar routine with familiar people. Like all puppies his age, he has very sharp puppy teeth, so he needs to be encouraged to chew on appropriate things. He is quickly catching on to the appropriate things to chew on with consistent training and teething options available. He loves being outside and prefers lying by the door where it is cooler when he is in the house. He loves going for walks and does very well on the leash. He also respects our older dog, Bailey, who has been a great role model for him. He needs a great deal of attention at this young point in his life with emphasis on potty training and socializing.
