This sweet guy is a true hugger. He craves attention and responds lovingly to hugs. Clem (aka Brock) was abandoned and taken in by a kind-hearted woman. She turned him over to her vet as she had other animals and he needed medical care. He is currently being treated for a mild case of Lyme's Disease, ear mites, and a facial infection due to a run-in with a porcupine. His many quills and wood ticks have been removed. The battles with quills and bugs have been won and everything is under control. Clem just has to finish his course of antibiotics. Thankfully he tested negative for heartworm.
Clem gets along well with my cats and the foster dogs. He sleeps in his bed on the floor, but loves to join me on the bed when invited. Clem sleeps through the night, but you may wake up to a cold nose poking at you in the morning. He apparently never learned to counter surf -- hang ten! He has not touched the bags of dog food, but does vacuum up the kitties' dry food from their bowl on the floor. Maybe his name should be Hoover or Kirby. Not once has he shown any aggression when eating with the other dogs, but he sure loves to eat. Clem doesn't really eat, he devours his food!
We are guessing that Clem is between three and four years of age. We were told that he got along fine with the child of his rescuer. He walks well on leash, is obedient and even knows several commands. That doesn't mean he always obeys them, but he does know them! He is thoroughly housebroken and, in fact, will help keep the kitty litter box empty. He doesn't care much for the litter and prefers to wash off his treats in his drinking water. He's very neat that way.
Clem is a low-maintenance sweetheart with that wonderful Golden disposition. He will be right at home with any family willing to share their love with him.
